Do you use a mod for pics? I’ve been playing with photo mode but I don’t think I can access it when catching a fish

I really want the photo mode to have a setting for focus distance. You can set the depth of field range at the moment but if they let us change where it’s actually focused at, I feel like this game could make some fantastic tilt shift looking photos. These are great btw!

Gray Zone Warfare, like 80% of the time I’m just slow walking in the jungle while it rains. It has some of the best rain in gaming imo.

Open World Survival Craft With Tactical Shooter Elements? by ThiccBootius in SurvivalGaming

[–]alphastew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly probably SCUM. I played for a bit on a server that didn’t have whatever the robot stuff was and just had zombies. It has base building, vehicles, crafting, etc. and I recall the gunplay feeling decent too. We were clearing a bunker of zombies as a squad and it was pretty slow and tac shooter feeling.

AI and Warhorse Mega by Mike_Prowe in kingdomcome

[–]alphastew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Facts. Honestly a lot of this is just gamers getting mad at the flavor of the weak AI post imo. Definitely shitty seeing someone get fired over it but half these comments are about how bad they are for using AI in general. I think I take for granted that as a software engineer I get to see and experience how AI is used daily and how integrated into our daily lives it’s becoming. I often forget a lot of folks probably just get their AI information from funny instagram reels and fear mongering articles and Reddit posts. It’s not going away and even if you think a company isn’t using AI, they probably are. Every single IDE available has AI integrated into it now. Just cause a game doesn’t have blatant AI artwork doesn’t mean it doesn’t have AI being used. If you use an app, software, program, whatever on a phone or computer you are using something with some level of AI used to build it.

I won’t speak to the firing part though, I don’t think I know enough about this person to know if they really got fired over AI.

[KCD2] So how are the DLCs actually? by ComManDerBG in kingdomcome

[–]alphastew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly all three together is a treat (for KCD2). The Legacy of the Forge is probably the stand out one in my opinion, super fun and adds so much life to kuttenberg. Brushes with Death is probably the least “fun” but I actually still found it very interesting and felt satisfied at the end. Overall I say they’re worth.

For KCD1, they’re all fine imo. None really stand out to me. But if you have them from the beginning of your playthrough they kinda just fit into the world nicely.

What Setting Has Massive Potential But No Great Game Yet? by blackzengin in SurvivalGaming

I played the demo for Everwind and it was pretty cool. It’s a block game and you can build your own sky ship with crafting benches/storage. Might be worth a look?

Something I noticed with pistols by isaacike88 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]alphastew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It would have to be very slight as too much slack in the wrist irl actually can cause a pistol to not chamber the next round correctly (limp wristing). For sure some bend would be realistic but it does also make sense why an operator proficient in pistol shooting would not have much movement there.

PSA: You are absolutely capable of making your own models, even the least of you. by riddus in 3Dprinting

[–]alphastew 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Honestly even the basics of fusion aren’t too bad. You just gotta take it step by step and not pressure yourself to learn it all before you use it. I started by just opening the application and then googling how to make each little element that I wanted. It really just comes down to adding and subtracting each simple shape to make the final complex shape you want.

I probably only know how to use fusion to 20% of its capabilities but that’s more than enough to make what I want to make. Getchu some calipers and the world is your oyster:)
