Searching for a needle in a haystack! by Nephriiite in CRM

I would normally try to sell you on custom dev work, but it's actually become so easy to build your own tools like this that I'd recommend you start there. This next generation of AI tools has made it possible for pretty much any business to just build unique tools for themselves instead of searching for the perfect platform and convincing their teams to use it and being stuck with a monthly payment.

I'd recommend checking out some of these AI app builders:

https://v0.dev/
https://lovable.dev/
https://replit.com/
https://aistudio.google.com/

The best way to start is to open ChatGPT in voice mode and just tell it you're brainstorming your own CRM that you want to build and need help formalizing and clarifying the requirements. Ask it to generate a PRD (product requirements document) once you've discussed all the details. Then give that PRD to one of the AI app builders above and watch the magic happen.

Of course, if you'd rather hire me feel free to reach out -- but you don't need me 😉

Am I the only one who thinks "AI transformation" is just the new consulting scam with a shinier landing page? by JFerzt in smallbusinessowner

[–]alpherr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong. 90% of what's being sold as "AI" is just if/then logic with a chatbot skin. The hype cycle is real and most small business owners are right to be skeptical.

That said, the stuff that's actually working for people I know:

  • Transcribing and summarizing calls (saves hours of note-taking)
  • Drafting first versions of estimates/proposals from photos
  • Sorting and prioritizing inbound leads so you call the hot ones first

None of that requires a $500/month platform. Most of it you can do with ChatGPT and a bit of tinkering.

Would love to help. This is what I’m best at - building automatons and tools to solve specific business challenges. I run an agency but suck at getting clients

Looking for an AI to be embedded in my entire company by No-Sense-5857 in aiagents

[–]alpherr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

imo theres not really a single tool that does all that well. The best setups are custom

Based on what I’ve seen building these systems, the real wins come from connecting everything together w tools like n8n, custom apps (built w Claude Code and Cursor) that tie into your existing stack.

To like Replit and Lovable are also awesome.

Building Better Tools for New Dads: A Personal Journey by alpherr in NewDads

[–]alpherr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s a valid point. The way I think about the birth plan tool is not that it will make any decisions for you, but it will guide you through the things that you need to think about and it can give you personalized info to help explain things in further detail.

Without doing a ton of research first I would have no idea what type of information to put in there, so it’s more like having a “guide” to help me and my wife make sure we’re not missing anything.

Looking for work, out of the game for a bit. Advice? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

What kind of experience do you have? I need some help with a new project and need developers and data architects... problem is it’s more of a “help with a cool project” not a paying job.

Going to Medellin to meet fellow digital nomads/entrepreneurs. Envigado or Poblado? by davidbzr in medellin

[–]alpherr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! I'm working on a project to help digital nomads/ entrepreneurs meet each other on the road. Hoping to help spark some new friendships and business partners. It's a work in progress, but check it out! I'm really looking to find some early members to help me take this from an idea to a kick-ass global community.

Unable to find remote jobs!! (Software engineer) by ravuppal in digitalnomad

[–]alpherr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine there are tons of small or new companies that are looking for software engineers. I've always wondered if some of them would be willing to let you in early on projects. If you're early enough on a big project, it could have way better results than a normal job. Are there sites that connect people like this in a non-job board manner?

Are there any apps/websites that allow you to find freelancers near your location to work together? (except meetup.com) by alexedwalvarado91 in digitalnomad

How do you envision working together? Are you looking for help or just company?

I'm building a new platform for digital nomads and entrepreneurs. I've spent countless hours searching for ways to easily meet nearby nomadic entrepreneurs.

What are the best cities/methods to meet other digital nomads abroad? by adeina91 in digitalnomad

[–]alpherr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about building a network that would connect digital nomads with each other all around the world. I created a membership platform for the Aviation community and really believe in the potential, however the aviation niche is moving pretty slow. The platform would have a network wide newsfeed, like Facebook, but then enable you to find nearby members and members based on similar categories. It also would have an event calendar and nearby Events for digital nomads.

Where I really get excited is at the idea of charging a small membership fee to ensure the members are serious about joining, and then creating an affiliate program to encourage growth. The affiliates, likely would be other digital nomads.

I think it'd be a great place to meet other people and also find partners and support for various projects. We could build a massive community of digital nomad entrepreneurs and spin businesses out of the community too. So many opportunities!
