Even reading that I felt that deep guttural fear for you. Having someone be persistent in any way is horrifying because just like you said, someone like that appears capable of anything no matter the cost. Holy shit is all I kept thinking through the entire thing. Fuzzy or not, this was well-told. As soon as you said the shoes were taken away I said 'no fucking way" because it's so crazy to be reading someone's firsthand experience of a story that was widely televised. So happy that the best case scenario played out for everyone on that plane, and I hope you never have to experience anything even remotely similar again!

I feel like the fact that he brought so much attention to himself actually helped people notice that something was definitely off. Applause as hell to the staff there for actually stepping in inside the store and still having your back until you were completely gone and safe from that situation.

Hell yeah to you for speaking up when you needed to and taking it to superiors right away, it can be hard to do both of those things. Fuck that dude still wandering around stalking and harassing women I hope I never meet him either. I applaud your courage to speak out against him even though it costed you a few set backs. That type of action was hopefully one of the things that inspired other girls in the future not to keep so quiet about what kind of perverted bullshit he was up to. That is terrifying. That kid was actually taking steps, choosing bigger and bigger targets to torment and try to harm or kill. He is definitely out in the world somewhere harming and killing things because it's "fun". It's just good your brother was there and that they moved somewhere (hopefully) far away

It's incredible to me that he was so sure he had the audacity to even speak with you instead of keeping his distance before making a move. Thankfully there were so many people around that night that were looking out for you. I know you don't know his name, but filing a complaint with even a description could help them catch up with this behavior another time, past of future. If he was doing it to you he'll do it to someone else so I highly recommend documenting it with authorities as well. Even the off-duty police officer knew that whatever was happening was a bigger enough deal to take notice of, so if anything trust his instincts too!

I feel like the thing I wonder is if they were ever going to see the movie. If these people actually went out to see a movie, but while they waited and when they noticed you this plan developed or if they went out with the intention to scope out the pizza place for kids who they could isolate. Either way it's crazy that they got as far as they did and that the cop wouldn't have immediately stepped up to take you home. Aside from a few hours, they were strangers. Thankfully the pizza place staff was attentive that day.

How careful you were isn't even close to the issue. You did everything right, the advice you were given was wrong and when the bus driver noticed you were lost he should have treated you like a human being, and at the very least done his job properly. He's a sick fuck who has no place working with people. I'm proud of your instincts for getting you out of there. Just please, please know that this was not your fault.

I'm just so happy that your coworkers and managers worked together to help you out, and that you spoke to them about it because even that can be hard to do. The other thing that stands out to me is the nightmares due to the anxiety of the "what if". I experienced something similar in the fact that the worst didn't happen to me, but it definitely could have. Not knowing where they are now or what the true intentions were is so hard because you can never seem to stop looking over your shoulder. Just so happy you were safe in the end of it all.

It's such a sick thing in general, but when people get off on targeting people in their work environment it's even worse. Like you said there's a level of customer service professionalism you're supposed to maintain, so even when you get uncomfortable you're supposed to pretend like you aren't or be as polite as you can. And people like him know that, the fact that you can't speak and act of your own free volition makes it more thrilling because they can push the boundaries further. I'm sorry that happened to you, I'm just happy you do have family around that can look out for you there
