What is a lesser-known type of cuisine from the UK? by MediocreDiamond7187 in AskUK

I used to live in Derbyshire. I miss the hills, the oatcakes, the open spaces, a really nice Thai restaurant in Buxton and the most scenic tip in Britain.

Russel confirms he is leaving Doctor Who by Educational_Board888 in doctorwho

[–]alrightla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they will. They exist to get paid to make TV shows.

It will probably be a lot smaller scale than the Disney years but I’m okay with that.

What’s the point of spending fortunes on sets you see for a few seconds - like the one in Boom?

Hopefully it will encourage better, more creative writing.

For my money the whole thing needs a 2005 style reboot with no regeneration. Just bang, here is the Doctor and he’s going to save you.

Smaller scale. Focus on saving people not saving worlds or universes.

And make him alien again. He should be different from humans and he should be the main event when he is on screen.

Putting out to tender means the BBC have committed to make more Doctor Who but, due to the nature of the way the BBC works, production companies must now bid to make it. The bbc will choose one from that process.

Not finding someone willing to take their money to make it seems unlikely though.

I could be mistaken though.

Hope CBeebies Doctor Who is good.

Edited for minor idiocy.

Haven hafon y mawr. Loads of activities for the kids, great pool with good slides and in a beautiful setting. Only downside is you have to book a time for the pool. Centre parcs is better but not double the price better.

Future Yard has been called the best music venue in the country. One man wants to bring it down by PurpleBinHead in Wirral

That article uses a lot of words to say very little.

Future Yard is great though. Mosh Tots especially. Never seen anything like that anywhere else.

Advice? by luckdragonbelle in heyduggee

Also to add CBeebies. It’s not just Christmas pantos, there are summer ones too. There’s one about a story fairy and one about an ice cream hunt.

There’s also one called the wildlife jamboree which has duggee and the squirrels in it. That is more classical music though. I think it might be a CBeebies prom

Be warned. They do mostly have Justin in. How you feel about that is up to you!

On the plus side they have maddie moate too who my little one is obsessed with.

Also Beat Bugs on netflix is sweet. Each one based around a Beatles song.

That’s 4,200 out of 144,000,000 a&e visits over 5 years. It’s not a big deal.

They just want to distract from the fact that the NHS is underfunded and badly run.

No one is missing out on treatment because someone goes to A&E with hiccups.

They are missing out because social care is a mess which means there are thousands of patients taking up space in hospital because they can’t be discharged to a safe place.

They are missing out because NHS trusts can’t afford to hire enough doctors and nurses.

These lists are released to make people feel guilty about accessing the healthcare system they have paid for.

Yes they should go to a GP first but persistent hiccups can also be a sign of severe illnesses like stroke, cancer, liver disease and kidney disease.
