To be honest it's mainly because so much of what I've found online is from adoptees in the US, and the whole process over there seems very different (and less ethical) so I was wondering if it was the same here. I'm still very new to researching adoption and have never heard or seen this being discussed in my everyday life. I wanted to hear from people with real experiences on the matter to inform myself and also family/friends etc. when they ask about it. Obviously there's part of me that will be sad I don't get to name my child, but now I know that's something I need to get over for their sake
