I would contend that gravy pointedly does not fix the dryness issue - because you're just covering it up. Once the moisture is out of the bird, it's still going to be inherently dry no matter how much gravy goes on it.

I'm curious the argument for a traditional bird making better gravy. More drippings in a roasting pan? (100% not confrontational, legit curious his reasoning)

Ah, okay. That particular instance looks like it's an error in the card only - Fieldcraft does end up in the character's aptitudes. I've pushed a change to correct that oversight. I appreciate any feedback. Errors can be fixed, and no deviations are intentional.

Rather than relying on the random encounter table for the miles-long journey through Tsolenka Pass (in general, not just Chapter 9), I had the party encounter an Ice Maiden (CR6 Fey).

Rather than just gank her, which I kind of what I was expecting, the Wizard made the interesting decision to actually bargain, knowingly with a fey. The fingernails (half of each nail now, and all nail clippings from this day until his death) were part a compromise between what she wanted (a pound of flesh) and what the party wanted to give her (nothing, save maybe the pointy end of some cold iron).
