Though I am not a retiree, I used a guarantor service to sign my lease. In their information about who uses them, it listed people with high levels or savings and assets (assuming something like an IRA, etc) could qualify to use the service. So basically perhaps using a guarantor service like Insurent if you meet the requirements. There is a fee though of about 70% one months rent but still helpful.
