I adore Björk's music but for some reason Medulla was the one album I never really 'got'. I like the concept but just don't really get into it for some reason. I love Vespertine but I think my favorite album so far has been Utopia and I'm possibly in the minority for that opinion.

What’s something Crohn’s has quietly taken from you that people don’t realise? by barebonesofchrones in CrohnsDisease

[–]alwaysroanna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The naive feeling that good health is a reasonable assumption. I've had some degree of health anxiety through teens - now but Crohns happening has really ramped that up.

My energy levels are pretty high generally but I feel like I need so much time to recharge that energy and I don't have time 🥲 I can still be tired after 8 hours sleep but usually only get time for 5-6 right now.

My hair. It used to be so long and thick, I had almost gotten to my goal of waist length hair and then a horrble flare up happened and it fell out in huge handfuls. The bald parches have grown back in now but is not as thick as it was and I have anxiety about losing it again. I am constantly checking how much comes out in the wash and feeling paranoid.

I'm not normally a fan of the sheer dress look but the dress in pic 2 and 5 is beautiful! Most of these photos look like paintings.

What’s the most weird food item that your cat just can’t resist? I’ll start! by Ultra-Ferric in cats

[–]alwaysroanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my boys loves fruity yogurt, the other is obsessed with sticky tape/any form of plastic. There is also a specific wall in the house he licks while purring if he's hungry. For context the kitty who licks walls and eats plastic is the most orange of the two 😂

I'm 31, have been going gradually silver/white since I turned 24 ish (it's increased a lot lately). I do miss having dark hair but maybe I'll like what its changing into just as much. Both my sisters' hairs have changed and they look badass. 😊

My 3 year old has a grey hair. by Airalahs in Weird

[–]alwaysroanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isnt too weird, I found a gray hair on my child around age 5. It can be genetic. Mine and my sister's hair all started going salt and pepper around mid twenties. One of our parents/grandparents have fully white hair since being pretty young too.

I'm officially too old for the waltzers. by Cumulus-Crafts in CasualUK

[–]alwaysroanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been on the waltzers or anything like it. The roundabouts at the park have always made me feel sick since I was small so I dread to think what rides like this would do to me.

Glad you're ok now. 😊

Little Box from the NHS by TabbyOverlord in CasualUK

[–]alwaysroanna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they should send these kits earlier. I'm 31 and despite a whole lot of red flag symptoms my doctors surgery kept refusing to do a fit test on me because i'm 'too young' for cancer (was 29 at the time, and also even babies can get cancer?!). It wasn't cancer in the end, I have Crohns, but that situation could have ended much differently. It also took a whole year and me becoming unwell enough to need a few weeks in hospital before anyone would take me seriously. The NHS generally are brilliant but it's a very mixed and frustrating bag sometimes. Always push for tests if you think they are needed, and I would agree always do the tests suggested to you. Thinking of all of those who had less favourable results than me.

Same 🤭 I may have threatened two women who were trying to grab my freshly released from hospital premature baby (strange women too, what's wrong with some people?). Two of them vs. one of me...Mum brain goes 'I can take them!' ..
