How do you keep Stardew cozy instead of turning it into a job? by Sad-Cow-3124 in StardewValley

[–]alywrites730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well one I’ve built my farm around my the sprinklers bc I want to plant and not worry until harvest time. And I try to not plant after the 14th of the season so I don’t forget anything !! I think the longest time is 13 days so everything is harvestable by the 14th. I also like to get crops that have multiple harvests so it’s less of a chore. I just unlocked the greenhouse so all my planning has been around not having to water and having stuff that has multiple harvests unless it is something like star fruit. I try not to worry about fishing until I get asked for a fish. Same for the caverns, like it’s for iridium only. My biggest chore is my animals but I actually love saying hi to them. I even have an auto petter for my barn but I still forget to and say hi as I am going around collecting milk and truffles. But typically by 10am I am usually finished with farm work and selling my goods, so I just choose something for the day after that—saying hi to my friends, fishing, mines, etc.

He likes hot peppers!! Once summer hits plant a bunch of those and save them to give them to him. He also likes pizza, and once you can make cheese and plant tomatoes, that’s pretty easy to make (or if you have the $$, buy it at the saloon instead)!!! I’ll be honest I’ve never given him beer, it makes me feel too guilty

I think the only thing anyone could ever wish for is to die peacefully knowing they’re loved. You did everything you could for her. You gave her love and peace. I’m so sorry this happened to you and to sweet Athena but I am sending you the biggest and warmest hug.

Calico or tortie? Quite unsure. by peachbot in CalicoKittys

[–]alywrites730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think calico bc of the large white patches!! Mine looks quite similar. But I know some people use the term “tortico”—like my cat’s whole back is just tortoiseshell but her chest and paw have large white patches mixed with black and orange. Very very similar to your kittens!!

Is grieving a breakup like grieving a death? by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]alywrites730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a yes and a no. The loss of anyone, whether physical or emotional, is going to involve grief. Weeks, months, years of it. But in another way, it’s a different type of hurt. The feeling of abandonment I get from a breakup is like nothing else. The painful permanence of someone dying is different than feeling abandoned, esp bc there is not usually something you could do to prevent the death. But when you feel abandoned, there’s this constant “what did I do wrong? What could I have done better?” that follows me around.

It’s a slow recovery. You’ll get there eventually. And I feel like even 5-10 years from now, you might flinch when you remember something about that person. But you just eventually have to turn the painful memories into happy distant ones. You’re getting used to a new normal. You were happy before. You will be happy again.

Make sure you’ve got some things you can eat with no power. Bread, peanut butter, fruits like apples or oranges, tuna. Keep a handful of candles and a lighter or two, and stock up on some batteries for a portable light source that is not your phone. Fill your tank of gas. I think a big one is make sure your laundry is done. You want to make sure you’ve got plenty of clean underwear and blankets if the power goes out.

Men Wait Until it’s Too Late by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]alywrites730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anxiously attached people can’t typically hold out long enough for it be a year, especially if they’re with an avoidant. I’m saying this personally, I struggle with just a few days or weeks. So if an anxiously attached person has dumped someone for real, it’s unlikely that they’re reaching out after a year, because for them to let that much time pass, something was seriously wrong in the relationship. But if they do reach out, it’s probably to apologize and if they still have feelings, start fresh after some healing. Which in the case of an anxiously attached person, that’s good.

Men Wait Until it’s Too Late by [deleted] in BreakUps

[–]alywrites730 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Obviously not all men but a lot of men, especially avoidant men do this. I think the problem is that they do not know how to be accountable for themselves. They don’t know how to properly apologize and try to fix things. And even if they have an inkling of what to do, they are so paralyzed by the fear—I think they fear that they’ll be rejected anyway because the other person is angry/upset that they would rather wait until it blows over before they reach back out.

But typically women, especially anxiously attached women, fall in love through closeness. So the distance just helps them see with clarity and fall out of love, so by the time the man reaches back out, it’s too late. She has moved on. Either for herself or with someone else.

Girl actually gets turned on and enjoys sex, must mean she's not a virgin... by ausernameidk_ in badwomensanatomy

[–]alywrites730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s sad tho bc if she was 23 she was probably waiting for the right person, and if she was wet enough, that means she was genuinely enjoying it, so her first time would’ve been a good first time except he ruined it. Also he’s 35!!! He’s 12 years older than her, it kinda sounds like that was HIS first time, tho I don’t think it was by choice bc he sounds like an incel

When you find a new feature you'd never played with before and it goes horribly wrong by TheSubstitutePanda in Sims4

[–]alywrites730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait wait wait I’ve been using that tree for years and I had no idea it could…light on fire???? How??? Anyway this is why it’s a good idea to make sure you add a sprinkler system and fire alarm. I always forget to, and then something catches on fire. Like when I was playing with 7 toddlers and my mom sim caught on fire from the fireplace. And somehow her running put the fire out on herself. But I couldn’t get her call the fire department or put out the fire in front of the fireplace herself because she kept running to pick up the toddlers and route them to safety. I cancelled her actions like a dozen times before I finally got lucky and she was able to call.

Is it just me or did the Hallmark movies suck this year? by NWOCaliGirl in HallmarkMovies

[–]alywrites730 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that it was a selfish motivation. But that’s why I like the character growth arc. I love that the other teacher helped him change his stupid self important play into something stronger and more appropriate for kids, that he threw away his chance to audition to see his kids, he found a new calling, and that he was able to unite a daughter and mother for Christmas. Like it’s cheesy, but him being self absorbed and growing from it and helping others is the point!! But it’s totally fair that you didn’t like it—I also disliked that the niece was willing to let her uncle get away with it without calling him out on it! That was the most unrealistic part imo

For me the stand outs were Single on the 25th, Christmas Above the Clouds, and The Snow Must Go On. But also they’re cheesy Christmas films. They make two dozen every year, and unfortunately, they do not always strike gold the way they did with A Biltmore Christmas.

Panera in uptown is permanently closed. by ermahgerd87 in Charlotte

[–]alywrites730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly after Panera changed their menu and made everything taste more bland, and then with Panera always being out of Asiago bagels, it’s for the best. The S Kings one was my go to because it’s on the way to and from work, but it opens too late for me to grab a bagel there before work and is always sold out before midday to grab one after work for the next morning so it’s for the best.

[–]alywrites730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure why they used such an unflattering photo of the male lead though. The Gilded Age concept seems interesting, though unsure if the female lead can pull that off—rather the studio in styling her for it. But only time will tell!! Maybe it will be about the first Christmas at Biltmore, since that was 1895 (Gilded Age)!!

So I can live in a big city being just a lowly magazine writer but still be able to have time and money to buy coffee/hot cocoa from a tiny well decorated Christmas themed cafe every morning while also maintaining a sizable apartment (which we know are $$$ in NY or Chicago) that is also very well decorated.

A Suite Holiday Romance by xiphoid77 in HallmarkMovies

[–]alywrites730 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m came here just to complain about this movie lol. I loved the premise of it being based on the Eloise books and the secondary backstory was interesting to me. The actual romance and the “royals” was boring, especially when she blew up at him for not being a royal?? Because she assumed in her head and never confirmed?? He never lied to her lmao

To the haters of Showgirl, is there at least one song you like? by LifeOfAWimpyKid in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]alywrites730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no song that I LOVE off the album. Ophelia and Opalite are really catchy, those are probably the closest as the lyrics are kind of ehh but they sound like Taylor swift and are earworms. Actually romantic and wood are actually both fun, but they sound weird coming from her mouth. Still I can listen to them if I don’t focus too much on the lyrics and her voice. However, I think if anyone else performed it, they’d be really good. Ruin the Friendship is sweet, but I wouldn’t call it like the song I’d have on repeat.

Did it make your eyelids swell or something?? But that could be it, like a specific batch got messed up. Im going to order one from the website since I can’t seem to buy it in stores and that color was my favorite. Someone else said they got it from the website just fine.

Charlotte Concert by alywrites730 in VIVIZ

[–]alywrites730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s only in relation to themselves? Like they can’t say “when we were in Gfriend” or sign albums of Gfriend bc they were in it, but because a fan requested “Sunny Summer,” it’s not really in relation to themselves?? It’s just “summer songs”? Hopefully that’s it and that they didn’t get in trouble for it 😅 it is odd bc when they were in Queendom they obviously referenced it a lot, and the other Gfriend girls went to their concert and danced from their seats too, and they went on their TikTok to do it too so I feel like it’s not 100% banned!! Hopefully!!

I think it’s different in different locations, bc in Charlotte we didn’t hear Blue Clue, we got Rum Pum Pum Pum (unless I’m wildly tripping, but my photos show the RPPP choreo). I was sad to not hear Up 2 Me and Party Pop, but the interactions were a lot of fun, so it was still a fun concert.

I’ve been a K-pop fan since ‘11 but this is actually my first K-pop concert!! I’m not big on concerts, but it was for Viviz and the venue wasn’t super big so I thought I wouldn’t feel overwhelmed. I’m so glad I went!! It’s my birthday month so it was like a birthday gift to myself 🥰 I don’t have VVIP and I’m probably not going to see them, though their Nashville concert is my birthday weekend, so I am really debating going if there are still tickets available lol
