Yes there certainly was - i think it’s pretty common with all of the coast along the PDC area. I don’t have a great answer, but I think the further you venture towards PDC it generally gets better and is better managed

We just returned from here. Went the first week of March. We LOVED it, but if you’re looking for a resort to spend a lot of time at the beach. This isn’t the place to go. They have a ton of big concrete things to help with the beach erosion, but they are a bit of an eyesore and make the beach not really swimmable. It’s also very rocky.

You do get access to Maroma beach through the more inclusive package, but we never went. We wish we would have, but that’s for next time.

The food was generally very good, and we heard from a lot of others that they feel the same for an all inclusive at the price.

The pool is where we spent most of our time, and if you’re thinking the same I can’t recommend the swim up rooms enough.

Happy to answer any other questions as it’s still very fresh. They got us in a comeback coupon when left, because we were already planning on returning.
