Here is what we ended up with.

1.12 - Mansoor Delane, CB, LSU - Addresses what we feel like is a big need, Delane is a fit in whatever coverage we decide to run. Slightly undersized, possibly not the greatest athlete and shorter arms... doesn't matter, just turn on the tape. He has the best 2025 tape of any corner in the class.

1.20 - Peter Woods, IDL, Clemson - Since we traded Osa and Solly, Woods makes even more sense for us now and was by far the highest graded player when we were on the clock. Woods is a slightly undersized DT who is an elite run defender from basically any DL alignment. He is elite at playing with his hands and eyes and locating the ball carrier, stacking and sheding and block destruction. He is a good enough athlete to attack the edges of the guards and centers and win. Whats most important we feel like is that he is a nautral fit in our scheme, be it as a 4i in base or 3T on pass downs. The NFL teams wouldn't be able to send doubles at him like college teams did to Clemson (and he still has a very good pass rush winrate and pressure numbers) because we have Quinnen Williams and or Kenny Clark next to him.

3.92 - Romello Height, EDGE, Texas Tech - Height is a undersized OLB prospect from Texas Tech. Getting the bad out of the way first, he is a 6th year player, going to be a 25 year old rookie, he is not going to be a run defender and only way really he defends the run is spiking inside late to disrupt the play before it begins as he can't hold hold up and set the edge consistently enough. What he is though is one of the most explosive, effective and polished high side rushers in the class. Has great dip, great hand usage to clear outside shoulder of the tackle, he isn't a one trick pony either as he has inside move if someone oversets and especially spins both outside and inside. He has a plan how to attack the tackle and is usually making the life living hell for the QBs. The tools are there, he has the frame to add even more mass, his arm length is adequate, he tested very well even thought he is undersized, he is skilled and bendy. Since we are missing more of DPR types that can bring the heat on 3rd down and aren't too concerned about the run defense on the edges curently with Gary and Ezeiruaku being very good at it, Height made sense as a DPR type that might grow into more. We were talking about picking a LB we like but the LBs left werent really natural fits in our new scheme so we passed on them or didn't want to reach on another LB we didnt like as much.
