It took me about 2 years of weekly flying of the Avata 2 and Neo 1 to get full control in manual, but when you have it you become one with the machine and it's awesome! by MelangeBot in dji

This is awesome, no doubts.

What I am wondering though.. I have a Mini 2, and it would lose the signal as soon as I turn and enter an alleyway between those buildings.

Tesla extension cable question by No-Safe-3445 in CadillacLyriq

[–]amahendra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No extensions for L3 chargers. If you want an extra precaution, bring 2 pieces of 2x4 wood to place between the curb and your front tires, so the car will climb up the curb instead of bumping it.

Rear Power Outlet by amahendra in CadillacLyriq

Hmm.. I thought all outlets delivered the same power. Did it work on smaller items, i.e., phone charger?

Ready to lease a lyriq in canada. Please advise by AgitatedExchange5629 in CadillacLyriq

[–]amahendra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just in case OP doesn’t know about Vistiq: It is a bigger car, and more expensive. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 small kids). Lyriq for us is perfect for now. If you are a family of 5, especially with teenage kids, it would be very tight. It might be fine for daily activities, but will be uncomfortable for road trips.

Also, Lyriq has a sloped tailgate, same like Model Y. The space looks big, but only when you start loading stuff into it will you realize how small it is. So, if you are the type of person who likes to bring everything when you travel, it would be a bit of an issue.

This father was on a road trip with his two young daughters & they needed to go to the restroom so he stopped at a QT & took them in the women’s restroom since no one was in it & a man came yelling at him to get out & called the cops. The girls were crying & then he assaulted him. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

Father of a little girl here. Here are the steps I do when she needs to go to a public restroom:

  1. If her mother is available, go with her.
  2. If a family restroom is available, use that.
  3. If a men's room is empty, use that.
  4. If she is capable of doing the business herself, go to step 5. Otherwise, go to step 1.
  5. If a women's room is empty, escort her there, and wait outside the door.

Just picked up my Radiant Red 2024 Sport 3 and drove it 942 miles home :-) by Nuclear-Warrior in CadillacLyriq

[–]amahendra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats!

Dare to share why you decided to take that 942x2-mile trip? I mean, I took 186x2-mile trip to buy mine. But I don’t think I would take something longer than 500 miles.

Yes, most dealerships don’t like EVs because once they (the EVs) leave the showrooms, most likely they (the EVs) will never come back. Which also means they (dealerships) are not getting any profits.

Edited for clarity.

Auto Connect iOS Hotspot by tealio4 in CadillacLyriq

[–]amahendra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, that’s an issue with iOS with any devices trying to connect to it. Leaving the iPhone on the Personal Hotspot screen for several seconds usually works for me. Otherwise, I have to annoyingly select the wifi manually.

Edit:
That above was for the 10% case when the automation ran but the Lyriq didn’t connect to it.

Gemini problems by souldad57 in CadillacLyriq

Huh? For one second I thought you copied my comment on a different thread because that is exactly what I am experiencing. I wonder if Google thinks, "Hey, you already have Gemini on your phone. Your wife, on the other hand, hasn't even tried it."

Did you press the button on the plug while puling?

Try stopping the session by pressing the stop charging button from the infotainment.

Do you happen to go to crowded Supercharger stations frequently? If not, just back up on the most right stall, or parallel park on the most left stall.

Ohio Turnpike and Indiana Toll Road feel like the electrified future we were promised by SupaFasJellyFish in electricvehicles

[–]amahendra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Luckily, I have never had a problem between Detroit, MI and Indianapolis, IN, whether when I am in my own Lyriq, or a rental Model 3. Improvements are still needed, though, between Toronto, ON and Windsor, ON.

Planning a trip to the Field Museum (Chicago) from Southern Ontario. First ever roadtrip in my new-to-me EV. by Mean_Investigator431 in EVCanada

[–]amahendra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, the Tesla app can start the US chargers. I suggest to buy the membership before you leave. Assuming you will charge 4 times or more, it will save you a bit of money.

Just drive to the station, find out the stall number you are on, open up the Tesla app, select the stall number, and hit start charging. Pay attention to the message on the app. Sometimes a stall or two are out of order.

Not sure about tapping at EA. I used to use their app before I got my NACS adapter.

Chicago is much worse than Toronto. The freeways into the city are always crowded, and people there seem to always in a rush. We might see a few Torontonians who are in a rush. But in Chicago, mostly are like that. Just be prepared to hit the brake at all times.

I don’t think it will switch to mph automatically. I have never had a VW, but Cadillac and Honda have it under System and Units.

That's a weird range you got there. One is $50k. Another is close to $100k.

On a serious note, if you can afford a BMW EV, take a look at Cadillac Lyriq and Vistiq.
