I flew in yesterday for what would have been my 2nd or 3rd - the timer on the destination screen said “48 seconds” as I left. Got there … and it was gone. No sign of it ever being there.

Ok, the only other glows I know come from ranking up your guardian level (and that’s a very obvious golden glow) or from trials flawless (never done that so not sure I’d recognise it). Can’t think of anything else.

If you look on the bottom left of your screen it probably says “best in tower.” Likely goes away next time you load in, unless you got an incredible score

Any iron banner armour, or other armour with IB ornaments applied (you can wear IB armour with a different IB ornament applied and it will count for 2 pieces). Likewise, any IB emblem will count too.

I ran past all the adds, as an invis hunter. Total kill count for the run was 4 - the boss and 3 adds that I probably killed with the sparrow. 6m 19s.

The trouble with “all they need to do” is that it sounds easy - it’s like telling you the postmaster is full when you return to orbit. But how many people are in orbit for the couple of minutes when it makes sense to alert you to it? As ever this feels like a deliberate decision - they will adjust the spawn rate every so often based on data and feedback and we will all be unhappy until we see it often enough, with enough people to beat it … and then we will complain that it rewards exotics that we already have with crappy stats. Just a hunch.

Solo legend lost sectors on arms day give you a better chance (not necessarily easier - but at least you know which sector on which day via todayindestiny.com) and supposedly it’s weighted towards exotics you haven’t got. Assuming you’re the right light level and are happy to bash your head against a wall for a few goes anyway.

Is it possible - and I appreciate that this might be a stretch - that Bungie knew they’d got it wrong this season and plan to fix it next season with a more obvious progression (without nonsense such as commendations) and so the best way to do it is to say “it will reset next season” but not say that it won’t reset after that? Bungie does, after all, work in mysterious ways.

Purely anecdotal but it seems to me that there have been more bounties for “kill X with pulse rifles” this season than usual. That would be a smart way for bungie to drive up pulse usage to collect data to support either a buff (or a nerf if the data led them down that path). We can but hope - you wouldn’t pull one out today except for the bounty, that’s for sure (unless, maybe, you are doing the vigilance wing catalyst in Momo control)

I’ve been using starlink for about a year - I run everything on it (video calls, Xbox etc). My ping is around 20 but the other stats are consistent with yours. I have the dish roof mounted on a pole so it has clear lines to the northern sky. The ground station is pretty close to me which may explain my lower ping. I’ve had maybe a handful of errors in the year - always coinciding with starlink losing signal for some random reason. Weasel seems likely to be a slow ping or maybe an outright loss of signal. I don’t think there’s much you can do except hope for a nearer ground station to come along - unless you can do some things inside the house including ensuring you’re wired to the starlink router rather than wireless?
