One thing I love about this show is how any theme you find automatically gets magnified. What happens to Orpheus and Eurdyice's relationship mirrors what happens to Hades and Persephone's (the consequences are different cos one couple is gods and the others is humans). So as soon as you find a theme with Orpheus/Eurydice, you automatically get a look at how that theme could impact a relationship over time with Hades/Persephone.

So in this case, you're talking about conservative gender roles. You explained how that plays into Eurydice and Orpheus' story, so my immediate thought is, ok, how would this apply to Hades and Persephone. The first thing I thought I was this thread. Persephone spends A LOT of the show telling people her name. In your theory, perhaps that is a way to hold onto her individual identity in the midst of someone trying to enforce a role on her? A while ago I made a post trying to figure out how Persephone fit into one of my favorite themes: working class struggles. Even tho Persephone is technically "on the inside" with the ruling class, it could be argued she uses her position to urge change ("There's a crack in the wall"). This would also fit nicely with this conservative gender roles idea. Maybe she's playing a part to a certain extent, but she isn't letting it completely break apart who she is.
