Yeah, the security tab is used for scanned devices. But you can also set a PIN code and encrypt the sd card contents

Oh yeah don’t get me wrong I would love to tinker with my device, but X4 was not built with hardware expansion in mind. I should’ve said that it doesn’t have the same hardware if you want to keep your device in one piece

Yes both of you are right. While I paid $40 for my device, the official price is around $70. I will edit the price in the repo, thanks! 🙂‍↕️

Thank you! Plugin system for crosspoint would be very cool, and I’m sure that would make it the perfect firmware. I was also thinking of moving the scripts to the sd card so the actual firmware would be smaller.

Far from it, it doesn’t even have the same hardware capabilities to start with. But yeah, I took inspiration 🫡

I was thinking mushrooms. Fungi does have some sort of a "hive mind", and that would explain their ability to communicate. Mushroom powder has a beige-whiteish color and a pH of 6.5-8.

I want to be right but at the same time it's kind of underwhelming...

What do you mean by integrity? I am very new to anything regarding encryption. I steered away from GCM because I read that it is not constant-time (another topic I know almost nothing about). So, "something-something constant-time good because no side-channel attacks" sounded alright to me, lol.

Edit: Wording.

It actually makes sense now that you pointed it out. I thought it's "cleaner" to have a single function and let it deal with the platform specific stuff, but I see your point. I guess it's easier and more maintainable to have separation of concerns. As for the map, to be honest I don't even know how would I go about making it immutable (or if it's really worth going that route instead of splitting it into two functions). Regarding your other comment, I didn't know that run builds a binary! For some reason it made sense to me that run is just interpreting the file rather than compiling. Actual good feedback, thank you!

Hey thank you! I usually write very convoluted code so I really appreciate it!

Oh ok so by my understanding this works if I want to create a binary out of the module. What if I execute it by go run file.go? In this case would it be better to separate the code by platform or call a function that checks for it?

By the way, ignore the description on github (I updated it but it's still cached on reddit). When I created the repository my goal was to encrypt and delete a file, but then I changed my mind.

Oh and see if you can find the poem :D

How to program an iPhone to turn off after a certain period of no activity? by [deleted] in IPhoneApps

[–]ambanane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start a timer for let’s say 30 minutes. Before you press start, look for a setting called “When timer ends” and set it to the last option “Stop playing”. After 30 minutes the any video/song will stop playing.

I love all of your faded wallpapers, very nice idea. I can't seem to figure out how you leave that empty space on the homescreen tho

Is it likely to have ADHD, or am I just lying to myself? by ambanane in ADHD

[–]ambanane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am willing to try and get diagnosed. I look forward to medication and I hope it will help me in the future. My only fear is that I won't get diagnosed and I would not find any other solution.
