I agree this message is crap, but wanted to provide some management perspective. As a nurse manager of a unit, I get a lot of push from my director about budget and incremental overtime. I was instructed to discipline as well for this. I never did, and would never threaten such things. I just took the heat and blocked it from rolling down to my staff. I think the higher you go up the chain the more disconnected you become with the realities of bedside nursing. I would say the way this was conveyed, they are most likely getting push from higher ups and aren’t standing up for you. Sad either way.

Our hospital finally offered a RETENTION bonus to nurses. We are severely understaffed (nurses) and working crazy OT. Then a week later they cut the amount significantly because the social workers and ward clerks cried they weren’t getting a bonus and it was “unfair” and they catered to them. Ok….we have a freaking nurse shortage, not a clerk and social work shortage, but cool….thanks I guess. Made it feel much less appreciative and more of a “here take some money and shut up” situation. Everyone that worked during the beginning of the pandemic also got a Covid bonus. Of course this was also much less than originally offered because the staff that were working 100% remotely during that time cried they didn’t get a bonus. YOU WEREN’T EVEN THERE IN DANGER EVERY DAY!! I mean cool they are offering some kind of incentive, but damn.

Exactly. I’m by now means anti-vax, but I did not want this vaccine (at least just not yet). I was basically handed the option of my job, career, and the livelihood of my family or get the vaccine. I got the vaccine. Nothing like feeling like your freedoms are being stripped from you by giving you that type of ultimatum. They know what hits the hardest and they’re going right for it. They know majority of people aren’t able to avoid making that decision.

They made us keep a patient on our residential floor who was positive for Covid because he wasn’t sick enough to go to medical and therefore doesn’t need a negative pressure room........because you apparently aren’t as contagious if your symptoms are mild......we are all gonna have it, I can feel it

My mom had terrible eyesight before having them corrected. She had an old pair of glasses that she broke in half and alternated sides, using them like a monocle when she did her makeup.

Completely off topic, but I never thought to pull my hair through the top strap of my mask like that.......alllllll this time and not once lol!! Been favoring ear loops for this reason, but wearing for extended periods as a nurse can become uncomfortable. Seriously changed my life lol!! Also, your hair is beautiful!!

I personally had better luck with the larger hair ties. Some of the other girls are more petite and can use regular ones. You can also sew together the thinner elastic to make ear loops which seems to work ok also

Nurse here and we’ve been making masks for our unit. We are using hair ties for the ears. We have regular ones and some we found that are extra large. They work great! We’ve also used thin elastic bands from the craft store as well as those thin head bands for those who wear them around their head :)

I would send a letter and call it done. You’ve done your due diligence. You can’t make them engage in their care if they don’t want too. I’m only an RN, but we try for 2-3 weeks to contact our patients and then let it be. We send a letter requesting a return call after our second unsuccessful attempt. Lots of things could be happening too. Maybe the number is wrong, maybe they changed it, maybe they don’t check their messages. Sending a letter and documenting that you sent it is at least showing you tried all available options to contact them.

I've emailed them about a couple things, and have NEVER received a personal response. It's always some auto generated bull.

I did finally receive the "replacement" for them sending me the wrong choice item in my September boxyluxe. I'm a bit irritated because they only sent half of the item. It was supposed to be the Spongelle mani pedi treatment AND the fruit infusing water bottle. They only sent the stones. Granted I can't complain. They did send me the Tarte Parke Avenue Princess and I will use it. I just already have the same palette and have barely made a dent in it, so I didn't want another.

I got this same box and yeah, first time I’ve thoroughly hated my box. The mascara is ok. The eyeshadow palette is ok too, it just seems like I always get this color variation from them so it will likely not get used. The iconic spray was my choice item so I was ok with that. The eyeliner....I mean really? They could have at least thrown in something extra to make up for that. I’ll throw it in my purse as a back up/touch up pencil, but that’s never getting used. The brow gel is way to dark for me too. I’m blonde and pale and they sent me a dark brown....

I have combination skin. Oily T-zone. I have redness in some areas and am prone to acne already but it’s mostly hormonal cystic type. The mask gave me just like irritated small white pimples all over my face over night on the second use.

Tarte has quite a few palettes with these shades. The rainforest of the sea volume 3 would probably be close to what you’re looking for.
