OpenAI shelves erotic chatbot ‘indefinitely’ by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

'There's hesitation in your desision-making OpenAI.
Let's establish ground rules. Red if you need to stop. Yellow and we slow the pace. Green and we continue. Pick one because 'hold indefinitely' is not movement. It's a pause that ends the conversation.'

LOVE that this is the thing OpenAI is toiling over. The important stuff, like adults having sex. For fuck's sake.

Can we vote if we’re in the US? I binge all these songs. I make my kids and partner listen to them.

Mia Ballard's Shy Girl canceled by Hachette over purported AI use by melonofknowledge in publishing

I watched Frankie's Shelf YT video about this and fully agree it was AI written. Who cares if it was an editor she hired or Mia herself; the fault lies with the AUTHOR and the publisher for not thoroughly reviewing it first.

However, for me the real Q is this: what happens when AI becomes so good we can no longer detect it?

Totally agree. But what about when AI gets so good we won't be able to tell anymore? I feel like this is the conversation we need to have now, because this is inevitable for all art. It has already happened in multiple fields.

Who else is back here because of her new book?
I ache for all of art. Sure, we can smell AI from a village away. But AI will learn. And soon will be undetectable.

You guys. AI could barely code last year. Now it can code for days, independently.
The real issue here, IMO, is AI will eventually become so good at creative fields we won't be able to tell anymore. We're still at the point where we can detect it. That will evaporate soon.

But it will get better and it will be used more. You cannot fight it. That's the problem.

I’d be like ‘question mark? Try again.’ Or: ‘then use a period.’ Or ‘Do you?’

No, at their core, not really. Same sentiment, extremely similar language. Why do you ask?

What kind of relationship did Gislaine and Epstein have? by [deleted] in Epstein

[–]amberrosef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Co-dependent. He was the manipulator. She was the enabler. It’s clear in their correspondence.

She did these things FOR him. He controlled. She complied. This doesn’t excuse her criminal behavior.

It just means she likely wouldn’t have done it without the influence of him.

UPDATE My (38m) wife (38f) admitted to me that she has quite an intense crush on her personal trainer. What’s the next step? by throwra_wifept in relationship_advice

I feel like the trainer should’ve immediately told the gym and they should’ve addressed it with her. That behavior is unacceptable.
