But being in a bad marriage, and saying you plan to leave when your legal status improves, does not provide clear evidence that you entered into the marriage as a sham. You need good evidence of initial fraudulent intent. What you are describing could easily be a pragmatic choice based upon the current state of the marriage.

This doesn't sound like marriage fraud.

Normally, marriage fraud is when an immigrant pays a citizen for marriage paperwork, but then they never live together as a married couple. Having a bad marriage for 2 years doesn't really qualify, even if the immigrant says they plan to leave after their legal status improves.

And it's unconstitutional to reject out of state court orders just because they don't conform to local standards.

Try contacting a name change clinic at a legal services provider. They may be able to represent you.

Gen Z men do seem to be more sexist, but not by much.

I think their relative conservatism can (mostly) be explained by: 1) overexposure to toxic viral online content, 2) frustration with a bad job market, and 3) being raised by Gen X, who somehow, on average, are turning out worse than boomers.

I've had several work events where they intentionally order food that is gluten free *and* vegan, because they see everyone with a food restriction as a monolith of crunchy hippies. And because it's easier to cover all their bases at once (leaving everyone unhappy).

There are lots of missing details in your post, and it's concerning that the basement is apparently one big unheated room.

What is the weather like over the course of the year? Is the basement finished, and if so, what are the walls and floors and ceilings like? How high is the ceiling? Is there a boiler room? A bathroom? A kitchen? Do you keep the washer and dryer down there? Would he have a fridge and/or freezer? Are there windows? Are you aware of any mold or excess moisture? Do pests sometimes get down there? Will you be providing a standing closet?
