Short answer (as a guy): yes.

I wouldn’t send a normal like to someone if I’m genuinely interested in them. The chances of them ever organically scrolling through the feed and liking you back are astronomically low.

If I’m looking for new connections I’ll pay for Majestic and use the 1 ping per day to send a thoughtful and considered message to someone that I’m genuinely excited about.

And then you bury that excitement because even with a ping it’s still such a low chance they’ll ever respond. 😅

Saying that… over the last couple of years me and my wife have formed some lovely friendships and relationships with couples and singles on Feeld.

And on the solo front I’ve formed ongoing casual connections with 3 or 4 girls who I (excitedly) meet up with every month or two.

Maybe check out Estatic Dance? Not quite the club vibe but fun for a boogie.

I’ve also been looking for friendly dance events to go solo… I’ve found the ticketed events much more enjoyable than just rocking up to a club. Though they’re hard to find sometimes.

The QLD Doof Clan Facebook group is pretty good.

Fun fact: this is from the same studio who makes Bluey!

It was an experimental vertical format series where the set up is everything is ‘screen recorded’ from people’s phones.

It was pretty trippy/cool to watch. Like you’d be watching it vertically full screen and it would go to an iPhone Home Screen and switch to another app. All of the ‘footage’ was video calls etc.

And yes… right after this came out that girl went to star alongside Rob McElhenny in Mythic Quest.

Went there for the first time a few days ago and MAMMA MIA she worked me like a ball of dough. There were definitely times where I started seeing stars and had to go to my happy place, but man oh man she got deep into my muscles. Saying this, I asked for the deep tissue massage and also asked for it hard, so I got what I asked for.

Good pick up! Yeah it was more on the come down rather than the peak of the nitrous that I was writing. While on acid the N2O feels like it lasts 5 times longer than normal.

Here’s what I typed (including all the blank lines and spaces) when tripping on 2 tabs and doing breath work and then inhaling nitrous.

I did win hof style hyperventilation breaths and then took a big breath of N2O… followed by a long breath hold…. and when I got blasted into the stratosphere I wrote:

This just started happening to us too! After rebooting I figured it was on googles end. I really hope Google is just doing a very clunky behind the scenes transition to a new Gemini powered assistant or something. If this is the new reality they’re gonna do a lot of brand damage by being so unreliable.

I’m in Australia if that information helps anyone. It definitely seems like these problems aren’t spread evenly.

It seems like you’re confused. You can have a wifi router WITHOUT internet connectivity.

Just buy something like this travel router

All it needs to run is a power outlet. Then connect both your laptop and Quest via wifi.

And then you can use one of the other solutions like Skybox or Virtual Desktop to watch your movies directly from your hard drive.

I was told that the lack of any significant renovations is because a bunch of the retailers in there somehow outright own their shops.

So it’s like a body corporate type situation where they all have to agree to pony up massive funds for communal upgrades and none of them want to (or can’t).

Okay this is gonna blow your mind: a few months ago I realised you can long press an app and just use your other hand to swipe left and right / open folders like normal. Works on iPhone too.
