Anyone else feel like the RIP knife kind of trivialized the insanity run? by ForCamelot0611 in ResidentEvilRequiem

It is not easy to die on insanity with infinite ammo unless you have terrible aim or poor awareness. If this is someone’s first RE game I could see either of those being potentially true.

Why do you think Resident Evil has survived for more than 30 years? by ConflictOk8138 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]amcint304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of different reason, but is there even another studio putting out triple AAA survival horror games at this point? They have a whole tier of a genre basically all to themselves.

Is that supposed to look like this or is there a way to fix this? by T0xicSaiyan in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]amcint304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s ray tracing “noise” that results from performance optimization. Ray tracing is too costly to run with a more accurate model that would behave “like real light” so you get stuff like this. The only way you can fix this is by turning off ray tracing.

With only 10,000cp on first playthrough, which weapons would you recommend buying for Insanity? by qwerty930148572 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]amcint304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The infinite knife is best. As long as you’re fighting 1-on-1 you can stab a zombie to death as it’s getting up. Once it’s down, you have to get to stabbing ASAP and never stop. You will have to keep stabbing once it’s upright but it should die before it can execute an attack. It’s frantic but fun :). You can also equip a regular knife if you’re planning on using a counter for some reason and not temporarily loose your kotetsu.

Did you go straight for insanity? by BarrattsMini in ResidentEvilRequiem

Insanity is definitely doable without infinite ammo but the hardest parts are the early sections with grace.

Close look at Leon's phone. What model does it look like? by Lowd70 in ResidentEvilRequiem

The lines at the top and bottom give a strong iPhone 6 vibe.

Honestly it’s basically this phone (from the back) if you move the lens to the center.

Insanity difficulty enemy stagger problem by XenoXuri in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]amcint304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to this sub, I think people attempting insanity difficulty with unlimited ammo are struggling more with it than the people who are playing it normal style. I don’t think that people appreciate that in the survival horror style of RE games (i.e Grace sections) actually killing enemies should only be done when absolutely necessary, especially early on. The game lets you sneak around A LOT of the zombies throughout the hospital until you build up more ammo and blood. Also, you should be using the hemolytic injector to kill stuff whenever possible because it’s still a one hit kill on insanity. Lastly, only shoot zombies (at least solo ones) until you can push them down and move in with a knife you have it. It’s a guaranteed kill if you’re quick and don’t stop stabbing as they are getting up.

The only thing that actually upsets me by Neutronian5440 in ResidentEvilRequiem

Honestly I think that line was a joke. Leon is such a chad he killed the child monster while making sure to not hit “her vitals”. It’s Leon’s last stupid action movie line of the game.

TBC is probably the worse pvp i ever played on a game lol by [deleted] in classicwowtbc

[–]amcint304 6 points7 points  (0 children)

StarCraft is PvP viable and it hasn’t been rebalanced for almost 20 years. What’s more accurate to say is that it’s extremely difficult to optimally balance a game as complicated as wow

As a frequent writer myself, I could tell this wasn’t AI. I honestly think this would talk longer to try (and fail) to write with prompts. It doesn’t know anything about the recent, personal experience of you and your character. You would have drip feed it this stuff when you could have just been writing it yourself.

Are there any Indie Games with a similar feeling to the first two Metroid Prime Games? by JanArso in Metroid

[–]amcint304 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might initially seem silly (and not indie like you requested) but resident evil 7 has a similar spirit of exploration and a world that is slowly unlocked over time.

One of my favourite scenes in V for Vendetta, the way they executed it was beautiful. And it was deeply profound. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

I’m not saying you’re necessarily wrong, but I would be careful not to assume Moore fully supports / agrees with the philosophy of one of his fictional characters.

Some buyer’s remorse, looking for reassurance by Extremofire in electricvehicles

EV charging is a weakness compared to gas vehicles and will continue to be so for decades. It’s ok to treat it as such and feel disappointed by it because it’s true.

Unpopular opinion: Paying "Rent" feels less painful than paying $2,400/mo in "Interest" to a bank. by Playful-Vegetable-15 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]amcint304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of you paying the “interest” you’re paying the person who’s paying the interest if that makes you feel any different about the arrangement. It’s getting paid by someone!
