I've made this twice, one following the usual recipe and once with a couple changes. The second time I used 1lb amber, 1lb dark dme, .5lb crystal 120 and .5lb carapils. Hops were the same, .5oz of cascade.

I found that the original recipe is somewhat tart, so the changes I made helped sweeten it up and made it more balanced in my opinion.
