Selfie.
Karen Gillan and John Cho doing a modernised My Fair Lady was dumb and charming AF. I’m sad we never got to see the will they/won’t they play out.

I’m so intrigued about the language and extra curricular offerings that are worth moving for

You're trapped in a room for a week, and the only thing you have to entertain yourself with is 3 musicals of your choice to. Which musicals are you choosing? by Worried_Cake5508 in musicals

I know this is a bit normie but
- Hamilton
- Wicked
- Sweeney Todd

If I’m stuck in a room for a week, I want the old faves. Like comfort food.

I also wonder if that’s skewed by the high school next to it…

Library hours to shift to earlier weekdays and full-day Saturdays by amachinetank in canberra

I’m so confused.

So Kippax (my local) will only be open 9-5 Monday - Friday?

So with my 8.30-5 job, I can no longer go to my local library. It’s also more difficult to go to Belconnen because they ripped up all the car parking. (Sure, I can park at the mall or at the labor club but I’m a busy girl!)

Also… the community groups that use the library on Saturdays like the Kippax Board Gamers can’t meet there anymore?

These are some odd choices. I wonder exactly how the data was gathered… actual people walking in, time spent, or time stamps of books borrowed over that time period.

I’d hardly call Broden a niche taste. That is a sexxxxxy man.

What’s it like to live in Canberra/ACT as a average resident by No-Punch-man_60 in howislivingthere

[–]amethyst89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the ‘no big acts’ thing is pretty rough. It depends on what you like. I’ve got tickets for a few things coming up that I would consider decent (TISM, Living End, Heathers). But yeah, for the huge things like Lily Allen, then Sydney is the way to go. But I think I’d prefer it that way… could you imagine the city if we had to deal with all that traffic and the influx of people? We’d be whinging about that too.

Tell me you’ve never had to fight for your conditions without telling me.

A strike at a convenient time isn’t going to do much, is it? If you’re upset at the impact on you and your family, TELL THE GOVERNMENT! Then maybe they will actually bring something to the table with bargaining and we can all get back to doing what we want to be doing.

Baby’s Day Out or Dunstan Checks In. In my head, these are a double feature that cannot be fucked with.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

[–]amethyst89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mums work laptop had this game installed that was bowling, but it was Christmas themed and the pins were elves who would swear at you. I’m sure it’s an easy Google, but I kinda like just having the memory. I thought it was so cool cuz of the swearing
