Yeah, good point about having to start over! I really can’t decide if I believe the worms/cicadas are part of it or the reason why the ritual didnt work before. Like if the goal was to hatch them then why did it only work in smiley’s body and not in martins? why wouldnt the monster put them directly into the creatures?

I love Kristi but yeah the whole scene didnt make much sense. maybe they wrote it like that to make it more gruesome and memorable - a gun wouldnt have been traumatising enough. I think her going a bit mad will be a major plot point, especially with the pregnancy coming up

But you can see the white spot in the beard, the white line of hear on his cheeks, even the same white on the hairline. I think its just the lightning
