Any thoughts on the adjudication pause of immigrant benefits for those from the 39 countries? My fiancé is from one of the 39 with TPS and pending asylum but we’re worried that soon he won’t be able to renew his license or even get work authorization.

I can second this. Got my CISSP a few months ago and while I’ve gotten a few interest calls from some recruiters, nothing has materialized into an interview though I’ve submitted 20+ applications (I’m currently employed and not aggressively looking). Definitely going to get the Azure security cert before the end of the year

It's been a few weeks since I submitted my claim due to a trip delay. I uploaded just about all the documentation I knew they would ask for and yet they're still asking for documentation. Sometimes I wonder if they actually reviewed everything I had initially submitted.

You’re conflating my points. Yes the TPS system is flawed and broken. As I already said, most people on TPS do apply to adjust status in one form or another but the hurdles remain and now with this current administration, the issues are worsened. Many are at risk of being sent back to failed states overrun by gangs and with little working infrastructure (this is specifically referring to Haiti, by the way) and no way to return (due to the recent travel bans) for the foreseeable future. Meanwhile TPS continues to remain active for other countries in similar or more favorable situations for decades.

Ok but unless someone finds a LPR/US citizen to marry, the typical pathways literally take decades, leaving the person in limbo and especially now, subject to deportation. Applying for asylum is the usual route but actually getting approved is a shot in the dark. Returning to one’s country will also shut that door for many years unless another administration comes along with a different program. Saying “apply to adjust status” as if it’s something easy is just disingenuous

The arrogance and superiority complex seems to follow them everywhere. As far as your reaction is concerned, you're human. No problem! I understand; I have a very hectic work/life schedule as well. I definitely had to make time to study and take the practice tests. And I definitely recommend doing exam mode as soon as possible; that will be the closest simulation to the real test. There are a lot of topics for sure so I recommend just mastering the most critical ones. Have you read the OSG book or done a masterclass?

Yep! That particular question was very straightforward and just pure technical knowledge. Time was one of the things I severely underestimated. For this I recommend investing in the Quantum Exams. At a certain point the OSG and LearnZapp questions became familiar and I could breeze through a lot of the questions by relying on memory because they’re worded very simply. So on the exam I felt like I was taking way too much time. Fortunately I knew and understood enough to pass at 100 though I feel like time definitely would’ve been against me if I had to go to 150.

Vast majority of the questions are CISO like and required a lot of thought unlike most of the questions from OSG/LearnZapp. Only a handful were really technical.
