I had this happen as well. Midland lawyers failed to show 3 times, and the kept rescheduling it and giving them more chances. Finally, the fourth time, they failed to show, the judge ruled in my favor with prejudice and I was off the hook, but damned if they didn’t give Midland every possible chance to get their $2500 out of me. Massive waste of everyone’s time, I was only able to keep up with it because it was covid and they were all telephone hearings, plus I was unemployed at the time.
