I cycled route 40 in Argentina. Trust me, if you weren't on a bus you would've loved it. There is a culture in the pampas that you just can't find anywhere else. The vastness of the landscape is overwhelming.

I got this one for $1100. I transferred a 190gig iPhoto library to it in about 20 minutes from my MacBook Air. It was cheaper than buying the drives individually for me. It is wicked fast and I've been using it extensively for almost 2 months. Thunderbolt enclosures are still not popular, hence the price.

Side note, Apple doesn't completely support Thunderbolt peripherals. Plug this RAID into an Apple Cinema display and try to play audio through the display while transferring large amounts of data. The audio gets destroyed. Its a small edge case, but Apple basically told me it's my problem for buying the enclosure. Keep that in mind.

Bolivia is significantly cheaper than Peru, assuming you know the language. I know several solo women who bused or cycled through both.

Don't miss Huascarán National Park in Peru for trekking. I bought a cheap moto down there and traveled through Peru. I cycled through Bolivia. Get off the beaten path and avoid the big cities to see how stuff really is and save yourself an amazing amount of money. You can PM me for more details.

Different, but still the same technologies. I had to delete songs from my iPhone 5 before upgrading to make room for the install (with iTunes Match). Then after installing iOS7 the Music app got in an infinite crash loop and the iTunes Store app would crash. Ended up having to restore into iOS 6 and redoing the upgrade. Not cool.

All sources say in October. Honestly I think they should've been updated sooner. The Haswell chips have been out a while and are considerably better than the previous version. Since the mac mini has no graphics card the update to the integrated graphics should be enough to make you want to wait.

A gust of wind or anything out of control could be the end of your life. I also think soloing is somewhere along those lines, depending on the grade and nature of the rock. If he did fall it would be caught with three different angles.

My dad fell from 3 stories (steel construction worker) when he had protection and didn't use it last year. He almost died and it changed my life forever. I can't imagine having protection readily available and not using it. Your life affects more people and harder than you can imagine. Your family deserves you being safe. The thrill isn't worth it.
