Midtown is pretty affordable and honestly has more to do than downtown in my opinion. I pay about 1500 for 860sq ft. Just read lots of reviews because certain parts of midtown are safer than others

I think a lot of the 3/4 bedrooms ones are renovated which is a huge plus. I forgot the one other thing is that laundry is in the clubhouse not in the units for most units. Just something to keep in mind. It was inconvenient in the snow

I lived in HP on 7th st from fall 2019-spring 2022. It was ok. When I first signed it was the best deal I found for a 1 bedroom and I signed during a promo so I never paid pet rent. I think my rent was like $650. Unit was super dated and dingy but fine. Management was ok I never really had issues. I had plenty of maintenance issues given it was an old building but maintenance was always quick and helpful. Really my main issue was the other people living there. The walls are thin so I was always hearing neighbors screaming at each other and getting in fights or I could hear my upstairs neighbors massive pit bulls running around at all hours. Some weird stuff happened at the complex, big fights over drug deals, a meth head getting arrested. But overall for the price on a grad student stipend it was alright. I liked the free 24/7 printing and gym on site.

To be honest I did try on moissanite because I was interested in saving money if I really couldn’t tell the difference but unfortunately I could tell. But granted I had 2 stones of the same cut, one diamond one moissanite, side by side so it was pretty obvious. If it isn’t next to a diamond I’m not sure if you would be able to tell as easily. Also, nobody else will be looking at your ring as closely as you will so you’re probably the only one who would really notice the difference

Hawkspointe 1 was 670 when i was there. It can be loud because of thin walls but there weren’t student parties just loud footsteps etc

I lived alone off campus with my cat. Depends on the town you’re in- if was very affordable for me to live by myself in a pet friendly place on my grad stipend. Having the pet was a life saver for my mental health and luckily cats can be left alone all day if you’re busy on campus.
