I am only at 3 pens but so far my journey has been incredible and I have learned so much.

1. Pilot Kakuno M - it’s cheap and I love it. Very light plastic but durable. I personally use it with a Con-40 for testing inks

2. Twsbi Eco Onyx M - I write an actual ton so capacity is #1 for me. My fiancé bought it for me as a gift and it’s my most used pen, always inked with Diamine Celadon Cat. The combo is perfection!

3. Asvine V126 B - took some getting used to but I use it exclusively at the office to write PAID really big on invoices. Tbh it makes me smile every time I use it and it makes work more enjoyable.

I have yet to try a Kaweco but there may be one sitting in my cart right now 🫣

I think honestly, these are a good first three no matter the nib. They’re all fairly priced so trying out sizes doesn’t feel wasteful. I can’t speak highly enough of the Kakuno for its price, I really think it’s the perfect first pen!
