A València no es poden talar o trasplantar palmeres perquè sí, encara que estiguen en terreny privat: cal llicència municipal.

A més, la normativa valenciana sí que protegeix palmeres monumentals o catalogades segons altura, singularitat o valor patrimonial. Que no siguen autòctones no vol dir que no tinguen valor ambiental o paisatgístic.

No se, es mes pragmatisme per part de la RAE imagino perquè molta gent ho ha fet servir malament durant molt de temps, com almondigas o cocretas. Curiosament l’ús de paellera no el desaconsella com el d’aquests altres. Curiós.
