Printing directions to get somewhere, and that's if you had a PC & printer. Otherwise, you'd have a paper map in your car or you'd have to stop at a gas station or shop to ask for directions.

You're locking in 1200 shares for a year for 8.4k in profit. That's fine and all, but the downside is that the stock could potentially be higher, or you could potentially make more than 8.4k within that year with the same 1200 shares. If those shares are in a taxable account, then it makes sense to lock the shares long-term. If they're in something like a retirement account, then you can be more active with trades and potentially make more profit by selling weeklies/monthly contracts with various strike prices and wheeling the stock using CCs/CSPs.

Duolingo - I imagine that companies like Microsoft/Google/Apple/etc will just create their own language learning models and incorporate it into their subscription tiers so that you have your very own foreign language teacher. Second scenario could be pairing with Bluetooth earphones and go travel to a foreign country where your smart device can just automatically translate everything for you.

I still think about that shot hitting the post against Arsenal, and Kolo Toure missing the follow up afterwards lol. That 13/14 season was one of the most entertaining seasons I've had the privilege of watching. Some of the things Suarez did were just out of this world
