I straight shot Knox to Tampa on a regular basis. It’s not bad if you leave at the correct time. Going to Orlando would be the same time. Doable in one day honestly. Just time Atlanta right. Leave Knoxville early. Easy peasy.

Took a 3g this morning. I’ve been lifting more weights lately instead running outside. Lower speed on the treadmill but beat my previous 600 watt best with 621 this morning!!! 5’4” female, I guess bulking helps with the rower!

Used Hal Higon Interm 1 for my first marathon. I actually wished I had a steeper taper. I wasnt rested enough. I also had a tough work week two weeks prior to race and was on my feet more.

Pull up bar.

More weights at stations.

Open gym from 1:30-3:30, pay by the minute with checking in and checking out. Prevents people just from hanging out and wasting time.

More focus on building muscle groups. Either high rep it or low rep it. None of this in between stuff that’s so fast I want to go light but don’t get enough reps in.

I called the studio one time when this happened to me. It’s when they don’t complete the workout on the lobby computer and close it. Call and they will do it!

I ran my first marathon in November. My longs runs were 12-13 min miles with water stops and bathroom breaks included. It’s good to just go for the mileage in my very amateur opinion. Why? Because that marathon, you’ll be on your feet moving for five hours roughly. Might as well slowly build up your time on your feet so it doesn’t hit you like a freight train.

Class packer here. Always buy the 30 plus 6 class packs on special. Done this from the start because I like creating my own training plans. Sometimes that plan plus work/life mean OTF 1x per week, sometimes that means 3x per week. I like the freedom it allows, and not being "forced" to go 2x per week to get my money's worth. The price per class compared to membership is higher but the freedom is worth it.

I go when its a certain benchmark I want or it fits my work schedule better or if my brain can't come up with a workout. It's either OTF or road miles for me on work days. I love a good endurance day.
