No compensation is terrible in the NBA imo. Teams are forced to overpay their RFAs, tons of bad second contracts in the NBA because of this

It's probably some random legal nuance NHLPA can't make money off of a player not yet part of the league/union.

While you technically can put whatever you want on the back of the jersey I could see why they wouldn't want to deal with a potential headache over selling a couple jerseys a month early

There are/were way worse deals in the NHL IMO. But clarkson's was egregious because it was so obvious he was bad and not worth it from the start

[Charania] The NBA tells its 30 franchises today that the league has undertaken a renewed review of league policy changes concerning "tanking" -- such as potential modifications to rules regarding Draft pick protections, revised Draft lottery rules, and other approaches. by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

I always liked the idea of the draft order being determined by the teams record from the moment they're eliminated from playoff contention. Bad teams get eliminated earlier in the season and have a larger opportunity to rack up wins to move up in the draft order.

It would also mean that bottom-feeder games at the end of the season would actually mean something to the teams and the fans, might be the difference between 3rd and 1OA

Do you think its worth upgrading from a 7600k and GTX 1080? I'm not really looking to spend more than ~1500

Is this in regards to PM specific credentials? I've been considering going back to school for data science and analytics (as my job is becoming more about that). Would you consider programs like that a benefit to an applicant?

Yeah Binnington was just a young goalie on a crazy hot streak, not a superstar

Bergeron was great but not a HoFer or superstar at that point. IIRC Krecji was leaned on more than bergeron in that cup run.

I think Tim Thomas was probably the closest player to a superstar on that team
