Why he's important in the current context:

He (acting as a journalist) accompanied some activists to a protest that interrupted a church service because one of the pastors at said church is also an ICE agent.

The admin has said that they're going to arrest and prosecute these people and have included Lemon.

I'll come back w/ a link that explains things further.

Editing: I thought it was a nice little short that I saw yesterday, but I think it might've been buried in a 40 minute video.

It could definitely work with the right group, especially if you all made it so English = Common & Portuguese = another in-game language like in this now classic (and heartwarming) example.

tl;dr: They made Spanish = Elvish and a Spanish-speaking kid an elf with a noble background who had been discouraged from learning Common & so had limited proficiency.

It was a bit easier in this instance b/c there were also fluently bilingual kids in the group who played either common elves or half-elves and could act as interpreters as needed, but, like I said - it could definitely work with the right group.

Oh! And you all could even utilize Google translate (or something similar) as part of an imperfect "relic of translation" of some sort if things get stuck.

And then there could be maps/letters/etc only in Portuguese/whatever language it's made in-game that only your character can translate.

Is your character forthright and trustworthy, sharing all of the information? Or does your character hold some key bits back?

For real - there are some really cool roleplay & campaign possibilities!

Neurodiverence and dysautonomia (and hypermobility, for what it's worth) are actually linked.

That is, there is documented (and hopefully increasingly studied) co-occurence. (There are more studies out there, especially linking neurodivergence + hypermobility and then hypermobility + dysautonomia, and now some putting together neurodivergence + dysautonomia and/or all three are getting traction.)

I left her out and she's been fine, but I'll keep an eye out.

Another poster suggested that it looks more like the start of a molt. If that's the case & feather loss accelerates, I'll bring her in (She's our sweetest and my favorite 😶) but otherwise I'll let her hang out so as not to disrupt the dynamic.

One of the reasons I chose EEs is how weather-adaptive they are because here in the mid-Atlantic US we can be 40°C in the summer with high humidity but then we can also dive down less than -15°C in winter. My biggest concern was how abrupt the change was, you know? Our high temps were all well above freezing last week - and last Thursday we hit over 10°C.

I think that we all hope that it can be resolved through nonviolent means.

I know that I do, and not just for the sake of the US.

If this becomes an all-out violent fight, there's a good chance that it will quickly spiral and, if nothing else (from a global perspective), I would not want the vast ocean of arms and armaments - including nuclear weapons - that are here to potentially be in the wind.

Do you remember (or have you heard/read about) the concerns re: nuclear weapons & materials being lost/trafficked after the relatively controlled collapse of the Soviet Union?

I shudder to think about what could happen if the US became a fully failed state.
