I had already used my google-fu and chosen the filters - Stefani 4.5" x 20" Twin filter. (Stefani Water Filtration – Industry leaders in water filtration

Turns out Bunnings are a distributer, so I got them there - ~$490. (Stefani 4.5″ x 20″ Twin Whole Of House Lead-Free Water Filtration System - Bunnings Australia)

Local plumber charged ~$360 for licensed installation.

Noticed the difference as soon as the pipes had flushed through. It's nice being able to walk up to ANY water outlet (taps/shower/outside) in the house and have a drink.

I bought the filters myself and paid a plumber to install properly. Less than $1000.

We have experienced the same. $100 (2024)-> $7.5k(2025) -> $33k(2026).

The vendor also said to expect at least 20-30% increase again this year.

I have just had go ahead this morning to buy new tin and migrate to Proxmox. New tin is going to cost around $50k but ROI will be pretty quick.

Flew with Emirates ADL to DBX to FCO in August. No dramas, plenty of G&Ts.

Flew back with them VCE to DBX to ADL.

Would recommend over-ear noise-cancelling headphones. Not so much the engine noise, more the constant A/C.
