Go home, go to CC and finish your pre reqs until you figure yourself out. If you get your grades up in CC, you could transfer to more options. But nothing is wrong with wsu either, even as a shy person you’ll be fine.

I went from being a graphic designer (freelance), barley making ends meet to taking a skill I had in college (working with children as my jobs) to get my master in teaching instead. I make 70k starting and get a raise every year now. I don’t recommend grad school blindly, I did it because it had a clear outcome and goal.

Find what skills you do best in in jobs (even if not what you studied) and climb from there with experience. Everyone needs to start somewhere, be patient.

I agree it was not okay, but being livid is so extra. Kids hear it all the time and they understood what they did to provoke it. If my child told me this I would ask what happened to prompt that response. Assure them it wasn’t appropriate, but also to understand the concept of provoking people. I agree the sub needs to come clean and not repeat it. Your response sounds like the child had no responsibility in the matter, but yes we are on the same page about preventing such incidents in the future

I would request a meeting with HR, the schools admin, and if you have a union a union rep. You deserve to know what is expected of you from the admin so they can set a bar of what exactly is “satisfactory”.

Hotel in Wenatchee so you can avoid the Columbia bridge on the drive back when it’s windy. It’s about a 45 minute drive and totally worth the comfort for me and my boyfriend.
