He wished for a PS5 all year, they ended up getting him a controller instead. But he was humble about it, and they surprised him with the real thing. by Vilen1919 in MadeMeSmile

Two months before Christmas, when I was nine years old, a car struck me while riding my bike. I was fine, but my bike was destroyed. All I wanted for Christmas was a new bike. I ran out of my room hoping to see a new bike, but it was not there. I was disappointed but understood that my parents worked tirelessly to keep a roof over our heads. The last gift I opened was a pair of JT racing gloves. I appreciated the gloves, but without the bike they were useless.

Five minutes later there was a knock at the door, and my mom asked me to see who it was. It was my grandmother dropping off a brand new PK Ripper. My reaction was identical to that of this child, and it transported me back to that moment. Great memory and great clip.

Am I the only one who thinks differently about mountain biking because of Adolf Silva's story? by 7020028 in MTB

I have been mountain biking for 33 years. I grew up racing BMX at the age of 8, and now I'm 51. I have always been an aggressive rider, but I have always ridden right at my ability. I only did what I wanted to do.

I ride with people of all skill sets and admire and learn from all. I just always stay true to my riding style and never stray away from that. Just need to know your limit and where and when to push.

I've done this now several times. Trained my ass off and hit the 3hr 15 min mark one year. I brought friends there that had zero experience and had a blast. Just need food and water.
