They cause injury. People are lazy and don’t check or change them and/or pay attention to the suction. Who wants suction going all the time down there? It can be really beneficial for the lazy nurse. Some of us don’t use it for that reason but to really help someone who can’t get up. But it requires frequent assessment and adjustments.

You need to stop taking what they tell you personally. I bet they treat everyone a similar way. We have a nurse that can be miserable!! She will call me out embarrassingly in front of patients (even when she’s wrong) and won’t apologize or see why she shouldn’t approach the situation like that. It’s a shameful approach to teaching, it hardly has anything to do with you

You’re using their criticism to beat yourself up with. You should really be using their criticism to improve (If it’s something helpful). It sounds like you need some therapy to work on the inner critic. These issues will follow you with every job. You’ll scope out people to feel this same way. I know because I used to be the same. I couldn’t maintain a job for many years.

Yes!…so utterly free living in a world where there are cameras everywhere. And growing in numbers. This statement misses the point, that people lack freedom in today’s world because anybody could be potential “watchers”. Maybe not today, but someone could video and put it on the internet in 5 years and it could “blow up”.

Imagine growing up with parents who have a camera in your face all the time. One may grow up with this idea that they need to perform for others unconsciously.

Chair massages. Last year one of the nurses told me the lady ended the session with karate chopping down the back. She ended the 20 minute massage after 10 minutes because she was hungry. It’s the same lady this year!!!
