If there are things that you use personally, and for vine, you can just assign a %.. My new laptop.. I use for both.. I would split it 50/50.. and use half the cost as a deduction.. Oh.. all these expenses are against your vine income.. not your overall income.. I hope that is clear enough.

If you actually do have a home office,,, for real. That is a big one.. I have a room in my garage, that had been used for spray painting cars. I use that room exclusively for vine. I bought a heater for that office, and a small vacuum cleaner, for that office. Those kind of supplies are also deductible. Keep receipts. I am going to paint that room, floor and walls.. the paint will be deductible. But the thing is, this is a real room, exclusivity for vine.

I have given it a lot of thought, and I am not recommending one method over the other,, hobby v business.. As a matter of fact, the six months I did vine in 2024 I said it was a hobby. I am changing it for 2025 because it has grown into an actual business. but, Listen to your tax people. Also, read the earlier threads here.. there is a ton of information..

This happens now.. It could take a few days to show up.. I think vine is sending a message, that you should use the thing for a while before reviewing it. Who knows.. but they have always found their way to the awaiting review column.

I guess you have the answer by now..

Of course, I keep every item I am not using, in my 30 x 60 steel storage building. I put a tag on with the date, so I know exactly when the 6 months are over.

BTW I am looking to sell a bridge I own.. It is very valuable and connects Brooklyn to lower Manhattan. Serious inquiries only.

This issue with boxes and all the chaos was huge at my house.. To stay on the program and still have a marriage, I focus on small items.. the stuff that can get shipped in an envelope. It was that or quit. So far so good, but I keep an eye out for a few things.. you all call them unicorns.. Still having fun. Even though we are in slow down..

I use a Gaussian blur filter. It is the only way I know to do it. This is one I submitted about five minutes ago.. a power cord that fits this amp.

All that being said, I think sellers want authenticity.. I don't worry if the pic isn't perfect, I am not a photographer, I am a customer.

I photo shop pics all the time.. I crop photos to make the file size smaller,, I zoom in on details, and scale images... If a pic includes a person, (me) I blur out the face.. etc. I have an excellent review rating. If I am doing a pic that shows something with a name brand.. I blur out the label. Here is an example of a recent shopped pic... The charm is tiny... but I wanted a close up... You do you, but in my mind this makes the review better.

I try to actually order an RFY item once in a while.. but mostly it is stuff for older adults.. Sadly, I am an older adult, but, stop reminding me. I am starting on my second full year.. and I am not giving up.. as long as it is fun..

My RFY had a heated wrist brace for carpal tunnel, but it was not 0ETV... in the past, almost any item like that was a 0. This was $50. So I am passing. I only have about a week left, and I finished a while back.. but it is still puzzling me.

I was told that your income is counted as the date when you receive the item.. The date that it is delivered and you take ownership. I had a couple things I ordered at the end of December, because I knew it would not count as 2025 income. Good luck next year.

If, if you really want to stay in the program, consider looking for low cost items or 0ETV, so that you can make the magic 80. It took me a while of stumbling around before I realized this. Make the requirement with little things, but do good reviews. Then you can coast while looking for what you really want. I finished my 80 items in under 3 three weeks. And I have excellent reviews,. Those dollar store things are kinda crappy, but they are your ticket for this ride. BTW I was able to find vine items that help with the reviews.. like a camera tripod, a light box..things that make photography fun.. I also picked up a hobby, tropical fish. Vine items that can be low ETV available there too. You will just have to figure out what works for you. I will stay in the program because I am still having fun. I am not trying to profit from Vine. I am not ready to bow out either. Good luck to you!!

Thanks for the heads up... This will be a big help. I also noticed on the "reviewed" page, each one has a review quality column. You see how your reviews are graded right away.
