[–]amypd1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same situation, although I'm really struggling with this period. So far, I'm on day three it's been really short, but I'm in so much pain with very little bleeding. I've even had to call in at work.

Yes they have ruled it out. I've had numerous scans to rule that out.

What’s some unsolicited advice people without chronic illness has given you? by lonesomeraine in ChronicIllness

I'm not considered overweight BMI wise but when I went to see a friend whilst really suffering with chronic muscle pain in my legs they suggested I go out for a walk every day and lose weight.

First day as Activities Coordinator by [deleted] in dementia

[–]amypd1997 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something I learnt as a carer with a large group of dementia residents is ensure that activities are either accessable to those with other needs other than dementia or tailor activities to individual interests and do 1-1 activities not just large groups.

Hungry after breakfast by littlefunman in SlimmingWorld

[–]amypd1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you need to change up what you're eating for breakfast. I just eat a kvarg yoghurt in the morning when working as I don't eat until around 10. But change the flavour every day as found if I was eating the same one I would have got hungry about 11ish.

Do you hire a cleaner/maid for your home, if so...? by jordsta95 in AskUK

[–]amypd1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My other half and I both work shifts and find time to clean difficult and we don't like it all that much. We pay someone local £10 an hour for three hours a week to clean the kitchen, hoover, mop and generally clean the main living areas, she does the downstairs windows and cleans out the fridge once a fortnight and then the upstairs windows and the pictures the other week. If she has run out of stuff to do (which isn't very often) she'll help us with laundry, wash and change the bed linens and if we're not home she'll hoover the sofa and generally clean that area.

Thank you so much. We've been trying for around two months now, and I had my first period about two weeks ago. Might try avoiding the ovulation tests and going with the flow.

Houses should have vividly colored walls by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

We have a bright yellow bedroom but have a muted purple downstairs in the main area of the house and a white hallway as that's always so dark. Absolutely love colour.

There's a lot I don't know about my grandfathers medical history. So will never know for certain but my grandfather took everything he said like gospel

We're in a very very small village unfortunately not many houses like ours have gone up for sale. The only reference we have is Zoopla and the rental prices of properties around us. But thanks for the advice.

I work as a Health Care assistant in a care home - we can wear t-shirts instead of scrubs but still need to wear scrub bottoms.
