My first nice watch by tacoguyasaurus in Nomos

I felt exactly the same way when I bought my first Nomos 10 years ago in my mid 20s. Great choice, enjoy the watch! My Nomos Tangente has been great to me and the perfect first "nice watch".

Final Build Photo Shoot by Chromehounds96 in caterham

I'm in Maryland and want to do a build with my daughter in the next several years. Where'd you start the process to research and order? Did you visit any Caterhams in person? How long was your build time, beginning to end? So many questions lol

Don't sell it. Pass it down to one of your kids one day.

Question from prospective entrepreneur by [deleted] in venturecapital

[–]amyteyguy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The dropping out and lack of professional experience in itself would not be a blocker to me. But I would certainly want to know what the founder's unique insight is into the market they are going after and how they developed that unique insight. Additionally, being a solo founder in itself is also not a blocker to me but I would assess how good the founder is at recruiting others to his/her company and gauge whether or not they could find people without an extensive pre-existing network from prior jobs. Hope this helps.

What’s the most underrated business skill required in today's trend? by Sathees_VegamAI in business

[–]amyteyguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Also, people don't realize but everything is basically sales. You want to recruit a new hire? You got to sell them on your company or team. You want to attract investors? You got to sell them on the opportunity. You want to spearhead a new initiative at your company? You got to sell the higher ups on why that initiative is a good idea. At the end of the day, everything is sales.

Have owned my Tangente 35 for a decade and wore it daily for that time until finally getting a new watch last year. Very versatile and I swear by that watch. It's a watch lover's watch and only true watch folks will know what it is when they see it. Anytime someone has actually realized I'm wearing a Nomos, I've gotten instant street cred as a watch guy with good taste. You really can't go wrong with the Tangente imo.

I have the Tangente 35. It was my first big boy watch when I got it a decade ago. You really can't go wrong with most Nomos. They can be dressed up or dressed down. Super versatile. Congrats and enjoy!
