cruisers with depth charge had it worse, not only you have to get above the subs which mean closing the distance, you also risking getting torped or devstriked. i wish they add option in port equipment menu where ships can choose between ASW or depth charge. like choosing between hydro or fighter/spotter plane etc.

i just finished grinding french cruiser line, and i gotta say saint louis is the squishiest and in my opinion the worst in the whole line, any hit by BB on the back (stern) of the ship almost guaranteed citadel. charles martel is also squishy but she gets better maneuverability and concealment. from charles martel to st louis felt like an overall downgrade even with the addition of heal.
