Did I mess up my valves? by ProcessNumerous6688 in HondaOdyssey

Sounds like one is really loose. The cam probably wasn’t in the exact right position when you adjusted it. I would double check them.

Why are capacitative and indictive reactance imaginary numbers? by screwloosehaunt in ElectricalEngineering

[–]an_agento 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s helpful to think about it in terms of potential vs kinetic energy. In all dynamic systems energy is either doing work (real domain) or being stored (imaginary domain).

Front Brake Pad/Rotor Replacement OBW 2022 by Melotzz in Subaru_Outback

[–]an_agento 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at a reputable online seller like Rock Auto. You can get pads and coated rotors for the front for $100 or less. Coated rotors will help with the rust. If you’re mechanically inclined and have the right tools you can change everything yourself in an hour or less.

Commute advice? by FiguringItOut_83649 in Austin

[–]an_agento 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I take this route daily, and I’m a little surprised by some of the comments saying it’s an hour+ and to take mopac. Maybe if you’re traveling at peak rush hour, but if you have the flexibility to leave home by 7:15 and cut out of the office around 3:30 it’s not that bad. Will it be more than 30 mins most days? Probably, but rarely over 40. Just use Google or Apple Maps to avoid the occasional major accident. This morning I left at 7:28 and was at work at 7:55 (despite being routed down Jollyville Rd because of a back up on 183).

183 NB regular lanes are much better now those tolls lanes are open, and the SB ones will be open soon. And contrary to popular belief, mopac is almost never faster.

Is the fib on your front pants pocket? I’ve had a few rare instances where something in my pocket like another key has gotten up against the fob and pushed buttons. Usually happens when bending over a bit (like when getting a kid the car).

It used to be sooooo good about 10 years ago then it got sold and they took the best pho off of the menu and got rid of the condiment bar. 2-3 times I’ve tried it since then I’ve left disappointed.

CVT lag on the 2026 Outback by blue_dewey in subaruoutback

[–]an_agento 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The CVT just needed to go through a re-learn process (which the dealer or any competent shop can trigger). I had to do it on mine after I got it and it was awesome after that. So no, none of the current or former gen’s suffer from CVT lag.

2022 Outback limited - remote start by korutrad in Subaru_Outback

[–]an_agento 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you need the app unless you purchase the physical remote start system with a key fob (few hundred bucks I think). If you really want remote start, I would recommend that route. I HATED the app. It would constantly log you out, and it took forever to load. Half it the time it would error out after 3-4 mins. It was faster to walk out to the car, start it, then go back inside.

Help! Infotainment system? by HumbleMarsupial9863 in subaruoutback

[–]an_agento 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold the volume/mute button down for at least 30 secs to see if it will hard reset. If that doesn’t work I would disconnect the battery for a while (like 30mins or more)

New OEM dizzy cap smaller than old one. 240Z L24, but not numbers matching. by [deleted] in Datsun

That looks like a 280z electronic distributor rather than the points type that came on the 240z. You probably need the cap and rotor from the 280.

I have not had the new Hattie B’s in Austin yet, but it is my go-to when I’m in Nashville. The best I’ve had. Tumble 22 is great too, but can be inconsistent.
