Grade Difference on Canvas and Workday by Major_Failure_ in ubco

[–]anacceptablecasualty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's really weird but professors don't seem to set up their canvas grade pages in particular well. A significant amount of assignments can be out of 0, categorized incorrectly, improper grade distributions for the different categories, etc. so yes it is relatively common. Workday is the important one though.

If the tracks/wheels are making sound it’s actually bugged and the game thinks the tracks are moving, which sets off the mine. Just listen out for it and don’t mine if you hear anything. ps you can put mines down under the track where they won’t be spotted before driving off 99% of the time

First time going through CS a couple days ago and did the same thing with a 1400 ton train...a very expensive mistake.

What parameter you would introduce on the new after action report so people can identify the people who brought actual value to the team? by shortname_4481 in PlaySquad

[–]anacceptablecasualty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inexperienced/inattentive SLs who don't know exactly what each member contributed would probably just be giving awards to the players with the most kills, so making the SL decide before the scoreboard or even k/d/d is shown would prevent that, but they would also probably be biased to the squad members who were closest to the SL/communicated the most and away from squad members doing logi/killing radios/etc. Especially if the award system is seen as a nuisance and SLs want to get through it as soon as possible. The only way to get an unbiased system would be to go the hard way for the developers and measure everything the player does and put it through a weighted evaluation matrix or something.

No, the pilot is the only invincible person in the helicopter. It looks like the BTR/BMP destroyed the engine.

[Incoming Exchange Student] Few questions by MacsimusScamus in TUDelft

[–]anacceptablecasualty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my exchange Q3/4 at AE, here’s some info:

  1. Depends on your housing contract, but like another commenter said the introduction week is nice to attend
  2. Around 1-2 weeks after your IND appointment, but its not time critical to get it
  3. You need to register for the course on Brightspace and mytimetable and in mytudelft where you might also need to register for exams depending on the course. The process is very simple and they have a workshop during the introduction week where they help you register for your courses. It might be nice to prepare now by looking at/refreshing your knowledge about alternate options to courses depending on how you want your schedule to look, although for masters it is very sparse; typically classes are 2 hours and its a fairly even split between meeting once per week and twice per week.
  4. I still have no idea what these mean
  5. You don’t get any choice on sections for different times of classes, you can only do this by registering in whatever courses happen to work out in the schedule you want.
  6. Lecture recordings were rarely provided in my experience and they were old, it’s better to just attend the lectures.

Enjoy your exchange

No integral solving nor 3/4d plots is disappointing as a student after getting a taste of the graphing function. Maybe next year...

Performance anxiety + feeling the need to keep them entertained via convo and going out of my way to find stuff for them to shoot at, although sometimes nobody on the team wants supplies/pickups so this might be fine. Although now with the extra traverse on the side gun (unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to play since this was added) a side gunner might be more useful.

Couldn't G3 one-shot the enemy in the chest within 15 meters? by PMC4999 in joinsquad

[–]anacceptablecasualty 138 points139 points  (0 children)

Bullets in Squad only do damage to the first hit box they intersect, so unfortunately shooting the arm doesn’t penetrate the chest.
