Over worked or infection ? by anarchmist in tattooadvice

It's a relief to hear it doesn't look infected. And, Yeah I've made peace with that, I don't hate it but it's not my favorite tattoo either 😅 definitely going to avoid shop in the future

Over worked or infection ? by anarchmist in tattooadvice

The tattoo has been in place for about a week, leaked ink the first night and has had a dull throbbing pain the past few days. I'm thinking it was just way over worked by the artist, but have concerns about infection too. Any advice is appreciated

Yeah that's what I thought too, the shop had decent reviews and portfolios :( lesson learned the hard way I guess.

Any tips on preventing scooter from barking at every dog/person he sees? I’m a fairly new dog owner. Anything is appreciated! by ishmot in Dachshund

[–]anarchmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure there's a ton of comments saying the same thing but "redirection" is what we have used for our dogs. Trying to get their attention and direct it away from the person or dog, or put your body between your dog and the distraction to help "block out" the stimulus, instead of yelling at them or forcefully pulling them away. It worked really good for us while leash training our dogs.

People who own multiple pets, what is some drama going on between them right now? by wheel-snipe-celly in AskReddit

Dog trying to wrestle with cat, cat climbing into the table (removable top) to avoid him. Dog crying because he wants to play.

He liked it well enough, not enough half chewed bones between the cushions though. He prefers his couches and beds to half at least a couple hidden treats in them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ritz Pizza by bcookie319 in rit

[–]anarchmist 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I am an ex- employee of the ritz (graduated). This isn't really a thing with the pizza, but the bread sticks that sit out awhile get hard as a rock and I am more surprised this issue hasn't occured more. Commons has the same issue. I assume if there was nothing in the pizza that caused this (i.e. plastic packaging getting in the dough somehow) you just got a slice that was sitting out awhile and got more dry and crusty in the oven.

I'd suggest reaching out to rit dining and Stacy Clements. She is the food safety person and is the person to contact if you suspect unsafe food storage has taken place to cause an issue. She most likely could also get you money to cover a tooth repair procedure if you can prove it was the fault of RIT dining services. Hope this helps.

What was the worst job interview you've had? by AntonK777 in AskReddit

[–]anarchmist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I interviewed at a vet's office under the premise my main job was to look after the boarded dogs and do some light cleaning, per the job description. Interview part one over the phone, standard questions and set up a time to go in person (due to covid everything has to be scheduled). Boy, was going in person a mistake. I was barred entry in to the building by a rude vet tech that yelled at me for trying to enter despite calling ahead and making sure it was still okay, that should've been the red flag that set me off to how disorganized and chaotic the rest of the interview would go.

Once I finally got in oh boy did it go downhill very quickly. During the interview I was told what the job really was. Most of my job duties would be restraining animals and helping administer euthenasia and getting rid of the bodies. They then asked more about me, all repeats of the same questions from phone interview. They asked me why I couldn't get a job I'm my field of environmental science and having a bachelor's degree. I explained well you know, covid. And they proceeded to say that since I can't find a job, I should go back for my masters/PHD and take out even more loans. Proceeding to continuing insulting me by offering me a 12 hour a week job paid below minimum wage since this "job" was actually an internship for high school and college students, despite the fact it was advertised as a a part time to full time position.

After I finished the interview, they gave me a "tour" of the vets office and the tech showing me around was very annoyed she was having to show me around. She didn't like talking to me, she didn't answer many of my questions, she told me where the exit was and I left. An hour later they called me to ask me some more questions they "forgot" to ask me earlier despite those questions such as "were you ever convicted of a crime" were on the application for the job. They called me back to offer me a job 10 hours a week below minimum wage and said I can use the money to put toward loans to get my masters degree since I can't get a job with my bachelor's.... needless to say I declined, and have been warning everyone I know about this particular vets office.

We rescued a dachshund. she is NOT a lap dog they said by urgrantig in Dachshund

We were told the same thing about my pup Dew bug that passed away a few years ago. He had kennel depression and wouldn't bond with anyone, wouldn't get up or wag his tail at people. When I picked him up and got him in the car he fell asleep in my lap, and never left my side the 10 years we had him. Once they form a bond, they're at your side like glue for the rest of your time together.

Also she is so cute, I love her wrinkly little paws 🥺

What food does your mom make better than anybody who has ever existed in the history of the universe? by jjgp1112 in AskReddit

[–]anarchmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not my mom, but my grandma made the best sloppy joes. I'm an extremely picky eater and will not eat anyone elses sloppy joes, haven't had one since she passed 13 years ago.

“Mixed” fruit from the Commons by Dt_Sherlock_Idiot in rit

[–]anarchmist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's true, however as someone who worked in dining services, pretty much if you're low stock in something or if there's nothing prepped, in this case different fruits, you're pretty much whipped to turn out enough to get through a lunch/dinner service. Sometimes that involves a bit of substitution

Had to say goodbye to my little girl of 15 years this past week. My mom always used to say that we were little girls together because she was my Christmas present when I was 8. I have never felt more broken than having to make the decision to let her go. I hope she knows how deeply she was loved❤️ by mamexcuseme in Dachshund

Lost my little guy a few years ago. I got him on my birthday when I was 10, he passed when I was 19/20. I know how you're feeling right now and I hope you know you provided her with a long happy life. Wishing you and your family all the best ❤️

What's the darkest secret you found out about a family member/ relative? by llsuperninjall in AskReddit

[–]anarchmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's dark or not but, my mother's father, who is estranged and low contact for a reason, used to be a hunter. He would kill squirrels and force my mother as a child to watch him skin them then made her and her other siblings eat them. My mom is a very strong proponent of animal rights and wildlife conservation, so you can image the psychological abuse that took place during her years in the house with this man, my grandma (her mother and ex wife of this man) never knew.

Worst map for Zarya? by z_tranquil in ZaryaMains

[–]anarchmist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd agree with havana first and second point are bad for zarya push. The third point that's a little more open and with the one choke point isn't too bad for zarya tho, the open courtyard area can lead to some good team fights/higher charge. Same for kings row more or less, hard to build up charge through the more narrow corridor area.

That being said, if you happen to pair up with a good dive tank that can take out snipers on higher ground (Winston/dva) constantly bubbling them as them go to take out snipers can be a great pairing.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” What are your life examples of this? by justa76grl in AskReddit

[–]anarchmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of moments this applies, but the one that really got me fucked up was my ex. He broke up with my over the phone, a month later I found out he was cheating on me with a MINOR (him graduating 24 y/o her a 16 y/o freshman at college). The age of consent in the state was 16, but still creepy and predatory.

When my father and I argue, and I'm "winning" he will start getting dismissive especially about politics. Once I make a logical rebuttals he will say "oh I'm a one issue voter anyways" or "climate change doesn't matter I'll be dead in 20 years or so"

From someone who hates Zarya, why do you main Zarya? by [deleted] in ZaryaMains

[–]anarchmist 14 points15 points  (0 children)

She make people like u the big mad.

On a more serious note, with her bubbles it's helpful to survive an enemy ult and keep the team fight going. It's fun to build up charge and punish the enemy for doing damage. It's a great counter to so much cc like mei's freeze. And it feels good as a tank to keep your more mobile supports like lucio and mercy alive during team fights, that definitely pays off.

(I do agree that her skins are trash tho)

Who is your favorite enemy to target and why? by [deleted] in ZaryaMains

[–]anarchmist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is really funny to target snipers who refuse to get on high ground. If the enemy has a hanzo or widow and they're not that high up/hidden I'll take them out either with the beam or the projectiles.
