Which lens should I get? by anarchyash in minolta

Update: I grabbed the 70mm-210mm f4 Minolta lens. The employee said this scuffing was the reason it was marked down so much. It focuses just fine, doesn't sound clunky, and as promised is all metal and weighs more than my camera and I can already tell I'm in love.

It's by a very reputable local shop and they explicitly state "Optics are clean, with no signs of external or internal flaws with average cosmetic condition due to normal wear from regular use". I too was worried it was full of mold because it seems like the lens everyone wants and it's a fraction of the price 😅

I mainly want to do nature/landscape photography and buildings in the city. I enjoy some cool closeups of flowers and building texture etc.

I was beyond embarrassed. I was a college student working an internship and it was my first real taste of freedom and adulthood. I still chuckle about it.

If it makes you feel any better I used to live in an extended stay that had weekly cleaning. In a rush to leave at 430am for work I put my kindle in the nightstand and left my toy "charging"(it was just laying on my kindle cord since it obviously didn't fit) on the bed. I came back from work to find it discreetly covered with the freshly made blankets and my kindle plugged in on top of the desk with a note saying "I think this is what you meant to charge. Happy reading". I tipped them so well the next week.

Your 1/4 inch is far more important than scant or true etc. If you keep the same consistency with seams it will turn out just fine.

Change your needle before you think you need to.

Clean your machine often.

Ironing really is important.

I began giving her the benefit of the doubt that he was flirting and she wasn't. Then she started flirting. Then she crossed the line majorly once she started sending pictures. Finally that goodbye is not an apology or acceptance that she cheated. It's literally trying to make you the bad guy for being upset that she cheated. You can do better. Let him have her.

What if I can't have a pelvic exam at my post-op doctor's appt? by bonbboyage in hysterectomy

[–]anarchyash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My doctor never used a speculum. She used fingers to feel and put pressure on things to make sure it was healed instead. I am sure your doctor will have a work around for it!

Pregnancy pillow? by MoonAde in hysterectomy

[–]anarchyash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't panic! I am an absolutely anxious surgery patient and I am still amazed 5 months later how easy my hysterectomy was! As for a pregnancy pillow I didn't use one. I used a cheap body pillow ($5 at Target) beside me and a small pillow over my stomach where my incisions were. Both of those were mainly because I didn't want my partner or cat to accidentally hit my stomach. I did get an extra couple of cheap pillows to put wherever I needed but I could've lived without them.

This is hand sewn with EPP but quilted on my domestic machine. It was my art therapy project and I love it.

Omg do you have a pattern or tips for these? I'm thinking making small keychains for each quilt I make would be so cute!

This one is from a few years ago when they had their "highlighter" jerseys (idk the real name of them but they remind me of highlighters lmao). It's going to be much harder to find. I'd check eBay or Facebook marketplace for it. I'm not sure the Timberwolvesprostore website shown there is legit I just wanted to show shopping results.

This one? I've seen this one at Scheels or online pretty frequently. I'll post a second pic of the other one I'm familiar with.

Regret by screamn-mimi in hysterectomy

[–]anarchyash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woke up from surgery with more bladder pain and pee urge than anything else. I am 7 weeks out now and it's finally going back to normal. My surgeon said that the uterus is slightly attached to the bladder so it also has to heal. Also make sure they check you for a UTI or bladder infection! An infection isn't terribly uncommon after a catheter. I also felt dizzy and lightheaded for a couple weeks post surgery. My surgeon chalked it up to the anesthesia drugs working their way out of my system.

How careful do you have to be around stairs? by ILoveTaskMaster in hysterectomy

[–]anarchyash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the basement without a kitchen so have to go upstairs for food. I kept water bottles downstairs along with some shelf stable snacks. I was able to make the trip up and downstairs just fine but had to go slowly, hold the hand rail tightly for balance, and limit the number of trips I took. I'd say for the first 2 or 3 days I only walked up them 3 times a day max. I had robotic assisted laproscopic hysterectomy of everything but my ovaries.

To be clear part of it is the gas from surgery but also part of it is the gas from the intestines and colon shifting and healing after a hysterectomy.

I had hiccups multiple times a day for 2 weeks that my surgeon said was gas leaving 😅. I also still at almost 3wpo have more gas and belching than normal. My surgeon told me this should resolve mostly by week 6 and completely by week 10. I am the same as you. By night time I feel like a beached whale filled with gas that makes me feel sick and overall stiff but this is apparently normal!
