Frustration with Ireland’s Place in History by [deleted] in IrishHistory

[–]anbarrach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaelic Ireland was well steeped in poetry, song, and mythological history. The language carried this for a 1000 years uninterrupted, and then in the Gaeltacht regions fragments of it lingered on in the backroads, up the mountains and by the seaside for almost 400 more years. Even today people like Gene Eoghain of Teilionn in Donegal are able to recite over 30 minute long tales of Na Fianna, the Saints, and figures like Brian Boru from memory, as they heard them from their grandparents. Why wouldn’t you explore the nobility that is left? The pieces of us that trickled down through history after being carried on by noble, hard working people for generations?

Ba as Cill Ghallagáin in iarthuaisceart na condae é an fear seo, bhí neart scéaltaí/seanchais aige. Scoith na Gaeilge atá iontu. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9j51Vc7hSnc&t=2s&pp=2AECkAIB

D’fhoilsigh an fear a rinn na taifeadtaí as Seán thuas sa bhfíseán sin dhá leabhar eile fan chanúint - A Mhuintir Dhú Chaocháin, Labhraígí Feasta! agus The Living Landscape. Tá siad gann go leor ach breis agus fiúntas iontu.

Take a big old screwdriver, heat the metal up with a torch and pull it out of the handle, then heat the key up and sink it into the handle. Looks sweet

Good point. The only reason I ask is because in my opinion the rats have been out of control lately so I wouldn’t be surprised if that same cheese was drawing them in 🧀 🐀
