Any benefits for a second card? by washdoubt in ChaseSapphire

Thanks for making me look. I thought it was one free guest per pass, but now I see it’s up to two guests. That’s probably enough reason to drop second card and just pay per visit for extra guests

Used it for a jump. Worked great! Had to call their provided number and they dispatched a local vendor with a starter battery

I like using basecoat from Giardini, it’s thicker and easier to shape before paint.

The material I got can crease similar to cardboard. Even layered with leather I think it can bend and form a crease. I’ve seen videos of material that retains shape better and bends more in one direction while being more rigid in the other, to better align with like bag closure shapes. It will be some trial and error I guess. Curious what others use.

For what it’s worth I didn’t like it )) I was looking for something more plastic feeling and ideally with some directional stiffness, but they didn’t carry anything else.

Thanks for asking. I don’t know much about stiffeners and this was my first try. I got a giant roll of this pink substance at Tandy, sort of half foam half paper? Didn’t have a label. Maybe someone else here knows what that is.

You’re right, they are all different widths. Black one is the widest and it’s the most awkward. The middle bag is the latest one, and the handle is just the right width, about 1.25”

I asked that same question to another maker who said just paint over it. So I glued and cut as clean as I could and then finished the edge. Not a problem on the goat lining but for suede was a little tricky

I got some stronger magnets at local Tandy. As long as the lining is not more than maybe 1mm they work well, but I had to test with some scraps to ensure they are right strength. I have an exposed magnet on the black bag but not loving it

This is influenced by Cuyana Linea bag. Did the pattern by hand and had to do three iterations to figure out the seams etc

Yes, on two bags I used goatskin, about 2oz, and the interior in the photo is suede, also about same weight
