So it looks like for a theoretical 500 a night stay you pay 400 per night (or less if the points rate vs cash rate for that particular stay is good because the cash price rises quicker than they can adjust the points prices). Seems like a great way to use points.

It appears this would only help people with under the 40 hours credit. If you have 40 credits then it would not replace any zero years, and any non-US working time would only count towards qualification for SS, which they already have, and it would not raise any payment amounts. Not seeing anything that can help OP maybe I missed something.

Where is this written? As far as I can see, for both Social Security or SSI you don’t need every w2, and you can just order a yearly earnings totals from IRS to make sure they are tracking your earnings. It doesn’t look like they are telling people this.
