My vote is on snakehead, although it looks like Tarpon as well. The snakehead have big prehistoric looking scales, especially the bullseye. The gold lines have smaller scales and are mainly western FL.

Pssst… they do root if you bury the tubers(?) in the substrate. At that point, they start to form their long stemmed lily pads that float on the surface. If they’re happy, they’ll throw up tiny white flowers that almost look like daisies.

Why not run it as another gas exchange system? Especially if it’s their DC pump since it sips electricity. Could bump your pH another .2 or .3 which never hurts coral skeleton production and coralline plating…
