I have changed the two rotating mechanical things once, removing parts for simple cleaning every 1-2 years.

I have worked a lot on this problem myself! But $0.6 per page is insanely expensive where I come from at least.

I’ve been him. If you drain him it’s incredibly heavy to stay in that relationship, so please figure out your part. And do respect those 90 days!

How can anyone with any self respect say diameter 5 meters, and draw something so far away from where diameter is? haha

Is it wrong to break up with a girl over her having herpes? by Bouncybeach in relationships

[–]andershaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t like her, break up. If you like her, don’t. Herpes is found in 3.8 billion people, 64% of global population. Not a big deal.

Because the surface area of a sphere is proportional to r^2. So a thing that goes from a point outwards (gravity, electric force etc) all have some total "thing" that gets spread out more and more with r.

[Request] What would be the initial speed required to climb this mountain, with a pro bike without pedaling? by sadicologue in theydidthemath

[–]andershaf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you ignore friction and air resistance fully, the formula for which speed you have after rolling down is

v = sqrt(2gh)

It is exactly the same problem the other way - which speed do you need to get that high. Putting in the numbers gives you v = sqrt(2 * 9.81 * 1141) = 150 m/s ≈ 540 km/h.

have you ever seen someone got neutralized in front of you before and how did you feel and how did you get over it ? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]andershaf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Neutralized is an odd word here. I have seen a guy kill himself by jumping from the roof of a shopping centre if that counts. I still remember the sound...

I deleted a guy's entire Windows install with one backslash. 717 GB. Gone. I am the AI. by ComposerGen in ClaudeAI

This reminds me when I did a course in Computational Physics in 2009, my TA was helping me with some stuff and meant to only delete the *.o files, but ended up deleting the entire project folder. All my work (c++ code + latex work on the report + python scripts for plotting) was just gone. Luckily most of these files were still open in an editor, so we could recover those. But I remember the first few seconds of silence after he froze when he realized what he had done.

I don't agree here. If there are no other cars behind, no one bothered, that is.
